- Guitars of the Day! Taking at the newest signature guitars for the most excellent Schecter "Poster Bros". Synyster Gates' new Custom-S Distressed has a Floyd and a Sustainiac, but man, import factories still struggle with relic'd and distressed finishes. Then Zacky Vengeance's ZV-H6LLYW66D is a classy but modernized '50s-style SG. Where are gold 7 and silver 6 string headless guitars Syn's been playing on tour, though??

Rumor has it that Syn's silver "Cosmic" 6-string and gold "Nobody" 7-string headless will have limited production runs later this year... but we'll see!
This was confirmed by several members of the synner team. There will also likely be a pink headless to go along with their song "Mattel".

I think the distressed satin is supposed to represent more of a fire damage look, mainly because live he plays it during Mattel, which shows a house catching on fire as well as the reference of being “in hell”
ohhhh, still not a fan of the standalone design, but that is cool they use guitars that fit the theme of certain songs live!
It doesn't look fire damaged either lol
I actually love that distressed look cause its supposed to be more of a fire damage look but I saw a guy who got it say they put a finish over it all so the exposed wood still has finish over it.

It basically is a Gibson sg ripoff with a schecter logo and for some stupid reason the mark of the beast as well.... Like the guitar, but it's hard to get behind with that on it imo...

Those headstocks look so similar to the Beast and Widow headstocks on B.C. Rich guitars
theyve had them on that syn model for 15+ years now
I just think the tan of the wood and black looks so sick together and works in a really cool way on that particular shape. I like it a lot. Expensive though!
Glad to see a lefty Signature! Most companies are shocking at putting signatures out in left handed versions!
I would love a Syn signature with just regular fret markers. Stuff like that stops me from buying most signature models. I did by a Mike Dirnt bass recently and the only signature thing on it is a small half inch star on the neck plate. Outside of that it’s just a unique neck/body/pickup configuration

The distressed syn looks good in person. At least the one he used live, but probably it's the prototype, not the production line, tho.

God i love that zacky vengeance SG. Makes me really wish i liked A7X enough to justify buying one. It looks so fucking cool.
That white SG model needs better than dot inlays. He deserves better than that, and so do the customers.

The year was 1999 my older brother plays left handed. I wanted to learn and play left handed because it was "cool to be different"
He tried to tell me to learn right handed, but i was 12 and didnt know any better. Goddamn do I regret it to this day.

I feel like if the worn sig could have some sort of way that the wear was unique to each model similiar to that one shoe that had easily erodable paint/finish with layers of colour would be more popular

Just remove all the black paint and leave it natural it would look so much better and guitars should age with there artists from new making it truly unique ❤

"Hey, lets add an extra 2k to the price." Why? "Because it looks like it was in a car accident then dropped down the stairs, duh!" People will buy that? "They'll buy pre-ripped jeans for 30 bucks more, so why not?"
When they do stuff like what zacky vengeance did it makes it hard to stay a fan. Avenged sevenfold will always hold a slot in my favorites list but i question their intentions when one of them puts the mark of the beast on his signature custom guitar. It seems to be a reoccurring theme with avenged sevenfold that they do this smh.
how exactly, btw god does not exist and the world does not follow your principles in which you believe you can close your eyes and talk to the creator of the world lol. otherwise society would be cooked. zacky vengeance has had the 6661 sticker on his guitar for 15+ years now and if you didnt know it stands for 1999 uppside down, the year the band formed.
Im sorry but there is no such thing as an 50s SG... SGs (then still called Les Paul) were introduced in 1961.

nah, these are beautiful as far as metal guitars go, not to mention schecter have the most consistent quality control aside from PRS in the big brands, they take stuff and do it better
