I know this format is controversial, but honestly I've been loving it. Of course having this as the cube for an extended period of time could be problematic, but a week feels just right in my opinion.
Yeah for sure. I think it's fine to go bananas from time to time. I love that they're pushing the formats they offer with the cube showcase series. I agree a week is just right for something like this.
@@bencouch1178 It's completely broken and degenerate. That's fun a couple times then gets boring. Or if your draft goes poorly and your deck isn't broken you're just going to have a bad time.
There's no guarantees you'll get a "next turn" in this format. I wanted to strike while the coast was clear. Desire for 4 is a pretty good turn, just whiffed by hitting 4 mana sources.
@@BoshNRoll That's a good point, but they had one card in hand, and weren't doing much. The only thing I really see playing around there was Phyrexian Metamorph, but that being said, you did just brick really badly. I think it would've been fine, but then again, hindsight is 2020 right?
Oh man, Daretti is so underrated. With Mindslaver in your pile, it would have been broken! Try it in your Tinker decks sometimes! Please... =P (lov your channel , btw)
1:22:30 punished for not using karn post-combat lol (Could have downticked on Revelark later). Also probably shouldn't have attacked with goblins (in case of sphinx dying and revelark/rec sage attacking karn on the backswing)
Yeah they threaded that needle beautifully. The 2 fresh cards off the top happened to be a creature with a leaves the BF ability that makes another creature AND an instant speed removal spell that hits Sphix AND Jitte had just enough counters that I'm dead for exactsies after the life from plow. I should have waited on Karn and I should have put the Jitte on a goblin. I both acted without maximum information and put all my eggs in one big, obvious basket.
Here was the winning line: Attack with only Sphinx. They Swords it. Postcombat, downtick karn on Revelark. They get Rec Sage killing whatever (Note: sphinx has protection from rec sage). Then you block Rec Sage with a goblin.
@@BoshNRoll opponent did not see that coming. Beating a turn 2 big emrakul. And next game putting 21 CMC on the battlefield turn 1. Your opponent conceded before the last copy of MD even resolved. Poor guy.

Why is this controversial? Genuine question, ive never touched mtgo.

That makes sense. Same reason theres not a no bans list format.
Yup. Same reason some people like Standard but not Pioneer, Modern but not Legacy, etc.
'This is fun when I'm winning' is absolutely the most accurate description of this format.
24:04 I don't think you're allowed to fail to find unless the tutoring card specifies a card type you're looking for
42:00 How is that better than Citadel and Mind's Desire next turn?

Omg that turn 1 Mind's Desire at 1:00:21 haha
Wish they would bring this back again. It was a pretty wild format.
I miss the old intro. Glad the algorithm decided I needed a bosh classic
Match 2 was so entertaining! Thats the absurdness I expect from this cube.
Oh yeah, that's the gas that keeps me going haha.

sir I screamed when I saw that Mind's desire in that pack then you just got a second one after lololololoololol
55:30 missed lethal i think. Use Talisman for Lotus and Tinker for Mindslaver. You even get the Talisman activation in their turn.
Lotus was already in the graveyard that turn. Sweet line though!

That fucking laugh match 2 game 2, lmao BnR's Big baddie beat down.

The match 2 games were DISGUSTING!.....
I love it.
Gem of a thumbnail
there were some baffling picks here haha
Round 2 was like nut opening each time
It was beautiful.
Lol wishclaw talisman I loved that card
It was pretty great!
6:04 LOL.
EDIT: And 1:00:20
Can't wait to Mind's Desire into Woe Strider.
@@BoshNRoll I watched this again over the last day. This was an excellent playthrough. Crazy deck, good draws and memorable plays. Awesome.
That match 2 tho
