Trump, on his last day in office, should pardon all his family members, friends, relatives near and far and ALL registered Republicans. This will prevent the inevitable retribution from Democrats that is sure to come.
Were this allowed to stand we'd live in a world where any administration, Republican and Democrat, can cover their illegal actions by making preemptive pardons. They can also do the same for their loved ones. Is that the world you desire? This should not be political - at all!
@@ChuckStewart-q3z What about Jared's father? He was investigated, convicted and served his sentence. I didn't like the pardon but it was symbolic. Biden will go down in history as the first president to pardon people who were never even investigated
Let's hope some of these people get prosecuted and they raise the "pardon" as a defense. The U.S. Supreme Court will then decide whether a person who has never been investigated and charged (let alone convicted) can be pardoned.
That would mean that the ruling the SC made on October 2024 would be put into question. Take note, the SC itself said that the President's actions in office are above question even from the SC, and that case specifically talks about the President's pardoning powers. The October 2024 ruling was about Trump's use of the presidential pardon outside norms...
Accepting a pardon means they accept that they are guilty. Thats been the law since 1915. Upheld in 1974 when Nixon was pardoned. Nixon was told he'd be accepting guilt!

There weren’t illegal cations. Republicans tried for four years to find something, and couldn’t.
Why should anyone believe this person or CBS?
If you hadn't done anything wrong, why do you need a pardon?

A lot of conservatives relentlessly reflect having no grasp of how American governance works. A pardon is exactly what it implies...LET IT GO.
