I think it would've been awesome if they added a hidden easter egg where if you complete it, a secret door will open and reveal an entirely new room with some crazy strong weapons in there. Personally I'd add in a Golden Mini Gun if I was a dev for this.
Sebas 18 multiplayer has been done for so long now they didn’t add it because of cod 2019 as warZone just dropped an season 3 of it is just bout to drop but I believe they won’t trash out years of work they just won’t and leakers have said that it’s being in work with bug fixes and still being balanced so if they were to trash it why would they still work on it and another huge leaker said after this whole 30 days ps deal is ended multiplayer is supposed to be a secret thing to come after that deal dunno if it’s true but I believe they will add a multiplayer spec ops maybe
As a fan perspective, it’s dumb. As a management perspective, it’s really smart since it basically still answer 3 basic things: *You ask for MW2 u get MW2 *IW doesn’t have to worry about player divide like the Infinite Warfare/CoD4 fiasco *Less worry to deal with hackers
They'll probably add it at some point, MW2 isn't going to kill MW2019 as a lot of people would argue MW2 was overrated and terrible while 2019 is good. A lot of MW2019's playerbase wasn't even born when MW2 came out lol
i love teaching the young ones what mw2 is they wont know the real moments of the mic quality or connections to host and the random people inviting to private matches as much but still was good times to be had
The white tape is an actual camo technique they use, it is simple and quick both to apply and remove for snowy environments. Though in real life, there is a ton more tape.
+MrDalekJD I have reason to believe the sticky tape placed over the FAMAS works like a sort of 'Disruptive' camouflage. One of the largest abilities we have with our eyes is to recognize outlines of things which we've seen or are familiar with prior. Our brain relies heavily on being able to piece together the full outline in order to figure out what it is, and small touches like that have been done on many guns to prevent that. Since the FAMAS has a polished metal exterior with a very iconic design, applying those white strips of tape all over the weapon breaks up the 'pattern' that our brain would be able to use to recognize it at a distance or under certain conditions. You can recognize it easily up close since you know what you're looking for, but say, in the arctic, or in the winter in the middle of a snowstorm? Even subtle alterations like that can drastically throw off our ability to identify something at even close range. When you look down at it at 2:02, you can see that the tape is applied in a straight-down or diagonal pattern all over the stock, main body, and carry handle. The reason why it's not applied around the grip or over the forward grooves on the underside is because that's where a soldier would hold it, and as a result, their camouflage or uniform would already break up the outline of it there by introducing different colors and patterns into the visual spectrum. If that wasn't on it? A soldier, even at a distance and in bad weather conditions, if trained on the weapons the enemy was using, might just be able to make out enough of it to identify it as a firearm with an enemy behind it and start shooting or warn others in his squad. Due to the tape being applied, though, it breaks up the pattern and makes it harder for our eyes to identify it as anything our brain would recognize as a threat, the tape is a disruptive pattern specifically to complicate the process the enemy needs to take to recognize it. But with it set up as it is? A soldier could hide in a snow-covered bush or snowbank with it sticking out, and those disruptive tape strips would make it much harder for the enemy to spot it properly. That's just what I think, though.

I used to scoff at call of duty games as just cut and paste titles which were churned out year after year. After playing remastered MW, MW2 and WW2 I realise how much love, care and attention to detail has gone into these games. Also call of duty's shooting mechanics are second to none.

I’ll be real, when og mw2 came out I probably played in the museum as much as I played the campaign. The nerd in me like to go through and look at every single weapon. I’d do different loadouts before I hit the red button. It’s so fun, I wish they’d do another museum or turn it into a multiplayer map. I remember on cod4 for the ds they had an actual armory you could explore
I learned that in my time in the army, I you want to make your weapons camp winter themed just put while tape on it and you are good to go..so that's the reason for the tape

These are not the only Easter eggs in museum killing certain characters will make the other charters preform different actions and do different things. Some of the charters will walk out of their podium if you kill certain charters around them. This works for like almost every scene.
In the original MW2 my favourite Easter egg was when the M1911 had 3 bullets as in the three bullets you shot at Zakaev and his 2 men at the end of the cod 4 campaign
I did my playthrough on veteran the first time because why not When I got to the museum, it was HELL to get that trophy. Now that I see this, I realized that its not just one difficulty and I hate myself
I remember in the og mueseum certain animations would play out if you killed some/specific people before they preview. I can recall it was only for the DC mission preview and No Russian, but tbh they probably removed it.
