I am terrified of heights. I watch these vids for a thrill. I still get freaked out, knots in my stomach.
I've never been on a roof where the anchors weren't on elevated posts to reduce abrasion. Interesting video though, you guys seem to be on point; half the crews I've worked with made me uncomfortable with their lack of communication/clarification but yall seem like just the sort I'd enjoy dangling with. Cheers. No fair jumping.
Respect. Never in a million years would I have the balls to do this.
Me: Can't be bothered to walk outside and clean my windows, no matter how dirty they are
This mans: You know what? I'm gonna repel off the side of a sky scrapper to clean a few windows. I think I saw a few specs of dust on them
Much respect. Im a tree climber myself but this height is another level!
i climb trees, in my backyard.
I was like: Yea, he gonna be on a platform on a very tall building, what is so impressive?
And this dude goes ahead and drops down a side of a building with nothing but a dinky ass rope holding him.
Ballz o' steel.
Nothing but respect to you for what you do I hope they pay you truly well
Love seeing professionals do a good job of something. Whatever that pattern is called, with the S motion without lifing the squeegee, is beautiful
Man i used to repair grain elevators. It required us to go over, up amd down these things suspended by cables, hundreds of feet in the air. Watching this made me wonder how the hell i did that kinda work for 5 years.
MadBanner wow
I'm a journeyman Welder and I build grain elevators for a living in Canada. Recently started ironworking and am over coming my fear of heights. I was 215feet up above the top head drive of an elevator.
A fine use of a wagtail High flier, low to no detailing. I'll stand on the ground to wash windows though.
I got sick at 0:01
Vectrum what 🧐
Thats like the safest part of the whole job, im confused
Lotus it’s called Acrophobia, fear of heights, still high up even if it’s the safest part.
Having 2 IDs make rope transferring alot simpler lol. Cheers from a fellow rope access tech (sprat) 😁🤙
It gives me the chills just by watching man. You're so brave. Seriously
At my job people are so angry they’re being forced to work in the office 3 days a week so now they’re taking their frustration out complaining about the respectable men harnessed and suspended hundreds of feet off the ground saying they’re too noisy and distracting. Privilege, what else do you call such entitlement!
I’m not trying to be like one of those kids that are always like “I could do that” but I would genuinely like to try this.
No boatswain’s chair? Why?
He has a petzl seat board on.
We're in 2019 mate :)
I love the Petzl Am’D. Great piece of equipment.
I'm so afraid of heights so when he looks over the edge it gives me chills up my spine
A mans got to know his limitations. And my ass puckered watching this video. So ive found mine.
You're not alone.
8:00 gotta feel safe then
That's a really clever system. Traversing like that saves you a lot of time. How much do you get paid for a work like this?
It would be decent being in Australia and it might also come under high risk work so extra money too. I’m on $37 an hour in Australia and I don’t have any qualifications or tickets
I Sexually Identify As A 4.2 GU Patrol I don’t do anything to do with this I do cubing in logistics
@@MrJtagSupport that sucks
I do this on a city but I make like 18 dollars an hour lol. This isn't the only service I do, but still. U don't always make that much necessarily. It's not really dangerous.
Teachers are paid far less 😞
In my younger days that would have been my dream job.
Nice video!
My OCD makes watching people clean windows so satisfying I can't even explain it!
It's pretty cool to see this video again after taking the course and seeing a lot of the safety elements being drilled into us being seen (the edge negotiation was weird though).
Assuming you mean using the duck to pull the slack? If we didn’t with that much rope on the roof he would have dropped too low with the amount of stretch 👍
It made me laugh that he secured his cloth before he descended but not the squeegee.
it was secured to the bucket handle already. he just transferred it from the handle to the harness points :)
Everything is attached don't worry :) Safety first!
Rag can get caught up in mechinism of climbing gear if that happens need to change out that device with like device not ideal situation to be in
Adrian Kingdon Squeegee falls and hits a person on the head from all the way up there (You’ve Died)
But what if his bucket spilled how would he deal with that
Girl: so what’s your job?
Boy: oh just cleaning windows
Girl: ugh! Bye *walks away*
Boy: *goes up a tower to 500 meters*
Girl: what are you going to do?
Boy: well just what I explained you, cleaning windows!
Girl: can I go with you?
Boy: no, I’m too high for you, bye!
Mad respect for people that do these jobs! I wish I had the guts, I’d rather jump out of a plane than dangle off the side of a building!
Just watching you look over the edge made me terrified. Hella respect!
I miss doing this. I was in Atlanta. It was so relaxing being in the air. Now i move furniture smh. Yes females eat this up when you Tell them what you do.
What made you stop?
@@wilfordgrimley4339 I got myself fired. But now that I've been exposed to this business. It's a rap I'm going to start me a high rise Glass cleaning company.
Y’all can’t pay me to do this hell nah 🙅🏿♂️💯
Omg this is giving me heart palpitations 😂
man this is window cleaning on a whole other level, props to you guys, better be getting paid 💰💰
Once you face your worse fears. You end up falling in love with them 💯
Hahaaah More like addicted to them
Unless you have anxiety disorder and your brain is just fucked. Instead of feeling relief you continually get negative feedback from an experience, plus racing "self preservation" thoughts that you cant control. There is so much I want to do in this life but I just can't. Cant fly on planes anymore. Cant camp alone anymore. I'm a slave to my own prison.
domtron88 you good? 😳
Anyone else watchinnf this and getting a tingle in their legs
Westyboi96 dude I clenched so hard when he looked over that ledge
tanner bennett I think we all did 😂
More like a _tinkle_ down my legs.
@@jackchristian9854 me.
@@jackchristian9854 i scary from dead*
Im Gonna invent self washing windows
Matt P how would that work smartass
Matt P because its impossible to make a material that doesnt get dirty
Some people have to take this risk to bring bread and butter to the family.
Even if one is scared of heights, if this is the last Job to do, they would have to take it, including myself.
Respect++ for such guys, hardwork makes you stronger.
Great video. Stay safe, stay strong and Godspeed.
Wouldn't a rolling rig Be easier?
likely more expensive and tedious too
We use a rolling rig on our building and works pretty good and quick. Though the rigging for rope transfers and doing the transfers is fun.
Why using a rolling rig (A-frame) when you have plenty of certified anchors and no fragile edge to avoid ?
My name is Bonga Saint i am.a proud nigerian black. why dont u use jetpack?
@@kfyhhggjgcf9747 im a white Nigerian black European Caucasian so you better watch your tone bitch
Next time you look through a window from great heights, think about the other side.
Fantastic view of Brisbane from up there
Two times I got freaked out, once when he went over the edge, the second time when he unhooks and walks straight to the railing on the balcony. Lol!
