Build confidence leading all the way up to the end of preseason.. If we are getting killed by other teams 2s and 3s you can gauge your level of talent faster than other teams
I agree, and years ago they would follow the procedure of increasing the starters time with each preseason game. I’d like to see more intensity in pre season, and conjoined practices. I also would love daboll/kafka to emphasize DJ capitalizing on those times to push the ball and take chances we all know he can make the safety blanket route or first read but even if he “thinks “ it has a chance to pull the trigger and use that time to learn for the regular season so he’s not so scared when the time comes to actually take the chance.
Your right Justin about the O line. Establish a permanent player at every position. Enough with the musical chairs. If Neal can't win the right tackle spot put someone else in there. I don't care what pick he was, I don't care what he wants, FIX THE FN O LINE. If it fails again, time to fire everyone and start over again. I have had enough of 13 years of garbage.
I think Davoll is going back to his roots. He wants to own the line of scrimmage, use a ton of play action, and let these 4.03 speed receivers run down the field.
Presumably the direction of the O-line was discussed during the interview, so I believe the HC and O-line coach agree with the personnel decisions made during OTA, but if the O-line is a disaster again this coming season, is it reason enough for the HC to be dismissed? From the vantage point of a fan, possibly yes, because I always expected Eleumenor to compete for RT with Neal. The best player starts and the other one is the backup. I expected Runyon to play LG, and I expected Ezeudu and Stinnie to compete for RG. Again, the best player starts and the other one is the backup. All other O-linemen are depth and developed to step in when needed. Like Justin, I don't have warm fuzzies about the O-line and, despite the wisdom of holding onto the money saved from an expected Waller retirement, if the O-line needs help during training camp, I hope the GM doesn't hesitate to do what's needed help the O-line, because the offense will only go as far as the O-line takes them. It's not good to be anxious in June but I am.
@@cooldude7821 You're probably right - another reason to be anxious - we have to live with what's there and hope the O-line doesn't self-destruct again.

There is no evidence that the Giants seriously tried to trade for the Patriots' first round pick. No one outside of the Giants knows what the Giants offered to the Patriots. Jordan Ranaan said that no quarterback in the NFL would have succeeded with Josh Ezeudu at left tackle and Evan Neal at right tackle.
Giants should've drafted an OL. Idk when the Giants will ever finally take the OL super seriously. Hopefully it's better this year, but Thomas has to stay healthy.
Schoen doesn't want to accept that Ezuedu, McKethan and Neal might be busts. I think Neal might work out with Bracillo. But Ezuedu not being able to beat out Bredeson at guard and being completely incompetent at T last yr makes me think he's a bust. We have no development talent at G, C, and T. We only have starters and FA. We need a guy on rookie deal that can back up on C and both G, and 1 at Swing T.
