I visited Iceland right before Christmas, and we received a huge storm that cancelled all flights. So I feel it’s also important to be flexible. It’s not unusual. Despite this I loved it. I didn’t mind the cold, it felt a real adventure just to walk through the city… not to mention the Northern Lights and all excursions:) thanks for the video! Good summary

Even though I have watched your videos for years, I'm always thrilled at the fact that they continue to be so valuable. I had looked at winter temperature charts and thought to myself that it seemed somewhat mild. I hadn't considered the Wind Chill until you brought it up. Thank you for all your information, and the great videos.

Iceland is a place I am wanting to move to once I finish my college course. The biggest drive to this is the environment and weather are very similar to my Canadian province of Newfoundland! ( fun fact, we found viking settlements here near the tip! )

We visited Iceland in September 2022. It was an AMAZING trip. We were already planning our next visit before that trip was over.
The one thing we missed was the Northern Lights. They were out, Rockin' and Rollin', on our first night there, but we had been awake for almost 40 house when we got to our AirBnB. We crashed and missed them.

I've watching Jeannie's channel for years now. The Icelandic tourism board should hire you. You do a great job of promoting Iceland and I hope to visit someday soon.

Northern lights and hot springs at the same time have to be the best possible travel combination.

Thanks for the guide and tips. Sadly it's difficult to hear you clearly as the background music is too loud.

Would you recommend going in January, or should we wait until summer?

January is beautiful, but you have to prepared for the cold and winter weather! Summer will offer more daylight hours, milder weather, but also more crowds, etc

Why should Northern Lights change your life? I saw them, it was beautiful, and the next day continued like the day before.
