All of the ones owned by PRLX were scrapped, which was 23 of them. The last remaining 6 are with Canadian Pacific and are being used as parts donors until they are only worth scrap.Norfolk Southern put them in storage and then sold them off right before and during the pandemic.
Nice action and nice chase man!! That’s was so cool to see em still rolling around dude, and nice zoom shots
BNSFBishop thank you bishop!
Awesome job filming, brother. This is gonna be a popular search video especially in the future. Happy railfanning!
Awesome catch with those SD80MACS all thought i didnt get see a ex conrail unit up close its great to see a fellow brother catch one for the last time
6:37-6:39, 7210 is missing doors and window. The reason why is because it’s cab caught on fire a few years ago and it was never repaired.
RIP... they were my favorites
5 of them were sold to Canadian Pacific for parts. Those 5 aren’t totally going to waste but these ones here are done for.
Yeah I heard about the ones going to CP. I really desire the need to find which yard they’re in and go trespass and get pictures (JOKE)
BRAVO! Excellent catch! 😢
That's an impressive catch and chase. One for the books.
Thanks for sharing. 👍 👍 👍
RIP
Hopefully the next company that owns them, takes very good care of them..
O7
I’ve most likely seen those operating when I was younger, I just don’t remember, which is unfortunate bc those machines are amazing.
Nice
Nice!!!
It’s a terrible shame NS never set one aside for preservation. Corporate greed. Hopefully CP spares one
Dang! You get the catches I dream of! Sucks these things are gone, but do you know if they will be scrapped?
nope! being sold to PRLX and CP for parts so mostly
@@buckeyestaterailfan1062 Ah, good to hear it isn't completely a waste!

Two Words:
*IF ONLY…*
PRLX couldn't rebuild these SD80MAC units. So they scrapped them instead.
wonder what that SD70ace was thinking, pulling his older brothers
has to feel weird, it’s kinda like retiring, you help out the old smart ones.
