3R1 + 2R3 in 8:03 is that even allowed? as far as i know you could only add or subtract a multiple of a row to another row, not a multiple of a row to a multiple of another row.
Hi, thanks for your video. I tried to use my TI-84 calculator to check the final answer of your second example, and it does not match the final values when using rref.
The last problem is just reduced echelon form not reduced row echelon form. I didn't take it out as far as your calculator will. I think TI 84 will do it with ref()... but I don't have one here to check it out. Had I kept going with zeros above the ones... I think I would have ended up with your answer. just trying to keep video shorter.
My teacher didn't gave me marks because he says we cannot add or substract a multiple of a row to another multiple of a row. But take for example if we instead of doing 3R1 + 2R3, first do R1= 3R1 and R3=2R3 and then add them then isn't it the same thing with extra steps? I'm really confused please tell me this is correct and I should go tell him.
I’ve watched like 20 different videos on the same subjects and yours made the most sense to me thank you
Thanks for the comment!

yes. allowed.
It is like elimination method for simultaneous equations. Same principle.
What's the difference between doing R1=3R1, R3=2R3 and then R1+R2 first And doing directly 3R1 + 2R3?

Thanks sir,
I have watched many videos but u make me understand this.
God bless u🙏
You're sure welcome. If you need any other vids on math let me know. I will do my best.
I learned to multiply the values not divide so it made a bit of a confusion for me, are we allowed to divide instead of multiply the rows ?
Yes. I just try and use multiplication because it is easier for some to think about.
Thank you! Brilliant explanation!
Glad it was helpful!
I am afraid when u sneez😅..bt i like ur video...thank u..🙂

It seems like what you are saying is right. I wouldn't know for sure until I saw you actually complete a problem.
Thank you kind sir. I understand.
Your second example doesn't seem to agree with my answer. I started off by flipping first and second rows.
may i know ur last answer, bcz that my first step too
Great video
thanks man
Bless you
thanks sir
allah
thanks sir
Most welcome
