Nike's React foam has to be one of the most polarizing foam technologies out in the market today. To be fair, runners have a lot more to say about it than any other group. I have to say though that yes, Nike does seem to vary React's formula depending on the shoe, but I have yet to experience React being too stiff, too soft, or ever bottoming out.
Agree, I had a pair of Nike React Hyperdunks a few years ago and the react was super stiff. Switched to the Harden Vol 3. with boost and it was much bouncier and softer.
KT7 Low was a game changer, i love my lows you get all the great tech of the kt7's with a bit more ankle mobility and i honestly could not be happier with my purchase. Really reminds me of playing in one of my favourites of all time the original harden vol. 1.
Love the kd 14 because of the low heel to toe drop, feels so natural, combining with the soft midsole and reactive zoom strobel footwork gets easier. My next try will be the peak attitude (big triangle, weird name and extremely interesting tech. Thanks for the videos doc !
I agree, the PG6 has to be the most comfortable basketball shoe I own right now. I can actually wear them at work on my feet all day with no problem. 👌
I owned the pg3s and loved them… bought pg5 at my reg size 10 and too tight and bought 10.5 and that was too big…. I have wide feet ao usually go up 1/2 a size but the pg5s did not work either size… any insight on the pg6 would be great
@@13clipps with the pg6 you could probably get away with true to size. I personally got a 10.5 because I don't like my shoes to be really snug. I probably could have gotten a 10 and been fine. I'm not wide foot though so I can't speak for that.
Thanks for the Reply!!def will try on both! I just truly loved the pg3s and wasnt a fan of the 4s so when I got the 5s I was hyped but they ended up being a bust in both sizes for my feet. I have a wide foot plus play with thick socks and taped ankles so 10.5 prolly will be the winner. Thanks for the feedback !

I've a shorter guy who loves to wear running shoes, but likes to play in the paint, drive, and rebound. All other things being equal, which of the 3 would you say would be most comfortable for me and my play style? From your review videos, my assumption is you would go PG 6, and then a neck-and-neck between the Curry 9 and Dame 8.
I got the Dame 8 when Doc recommended it for folks with wider feet and it’s hands down the best basketball shoe I’ve played in that I can remember. Highly recommend it if you need help narrowing down your choices. Everything is just right on the Dame 8, I have zero complaints.

Lock down was great, felt no slippage at all, great traction, great cushioning, I really have no complaints. I haven’t tried the others, I was going to try the trae young 1 but went with these since adidas had them on sale and I’m glad I did.

There’s a lot of tech and BS to sort through, and what little reviews out there are don’t get into the weeds like your videos do. In previous years I had under armour shoes ( curry 3 low and Hovr havoc low) and I bought the KD14 last year because everyone said they were really good. I didnt completely like the KD14 compared to ny previous UA pairs. I feel like UA is quite ahead in term of traction vs competition. It is my main criteria for a shoe. For some reasons the Curry 9 arent available anymore. Do you have any reccos for shoes that would fit my bill? Low top with exceptionnal traction

Be warned about the dame 8 they are the only shoe I have ever worn where they have given me foot blisters on both my toe and ball of my feet. Idk what it is whether it be the trash slim foam in sole or for other reasons but even when I double sock wear nike elite socks strap my feet they get eaten up in that shoe. If I switch back to my Nike Kyrie 6s or my zoom nxts my feet don’t have any maceration or sheering feel or effect

For me, the Kyrie 6's are my favouritr shoe ever. The roll edge allows me as a power forward to play like a guard. They help me get through traffic, as well as give enough spring to jump upwards and out-reach taller players on rebounds and finishes. They've lasted for a year and a half, and the shoe is still in good condition. The grip is amazing on any court (indoor, dusty, outdoor, rubber). It's a shame nike stopped making them, but I guess that increases its value over the years! 😉

Pg6 is good I got mine yesterday afternoon and played on the evening minimal /no break in needed. Only issue is the textile on the midfoot is a bit too flexible but that's not a big deal. .my favourite this season is kd14 can't wait to cop the 15
My son is 14 years old and has been playing basketball as a club player for 4 years. There is a slight Elastic flat foot (10 degrees) (It occurs when the foot presses on the ground, it is corrected when lifted). The doctor said that there will be no problem in playing basketball and intense training, matches, etc., but although the problem is in both feet, pain occurs in the left forefoot during intense training. He's wearing Jordan Dub Zero right now. I want to buy basketball hardwood playground shoes jordan 12 - we are stuck between jordan 36 and kd 14. As far as I know, Kevin Durant has this kind of foot problem and his shoes are designed accordingly. what would your suggestion be
Can’t speak for the Jordans but the KD14 is a beast of a basketball shoe. I also have a flat foot and have enjoyed every KD shoe I’ve ever played in. Once you break the zoom in it also feels surprisingly bouncy underfoot.
