Glad to hear Orthodoxy is even in Sweden. All I've heard in the States is how Sweden and Europe is very secular and anti Christian. May God bless your ministry. Praying for the people of Sweden.

It is very secular and anti Christian, I live here and We have churches in almost every city Ofcourse, But they are all empty for most of the time except the really big ones. Faith is basically dead in Sweden and We need to revive it. I’m orthodox But theres No church near me and I need to get baptised orthodox. I have orthodox study bible and prayer book and prayer rope but I wish I live in a eastern europe country Where orthodoxy is easily accessible ☦️

A wonderful interview. It's very nice to hear about how missionary work is done in non-orthodox countries in Europe. It's quite the same situation we have with the orthodox faith in Spain and for sure the language's thing still one of the biggest closed doors in front of us in the non- orthodoy countries; there's still a long road ahead but it's exciting to have the oportunity to re-live the first days of the Church(in some ways)through having to start missions "from zero" and trying to reach the natives through the Orthodox faith in this challenge of "re-evangelization" that lies ahead in Europe.
Glory be to God for everything!
    Greetings in Christ

What about the early history of Christianity in Sweden? I have heard that King Harold of Norway adopted Orthodoxy first, be it in the Western rite, but the church in Norway only really became Roman Catholic later. Could we say the same for Sweden? Thanks for a great interview.

  • @DuStKalle

It is truly remarkable how the church changes not according to its dogmas but its local culture. I was baptized as a Lutheran in St Petersburg a long time ago, but the Lutheran church I found in Canada after my immigration has had hardly anything to do with what I was accustomed to in Russia. As of the Russian Orthodox Church, it desperately needs the most radical revolutionary reform in the style of so-called "old believers." Being reformed into literally the ideological branch of the state by Zar Peter, who mimicked it directly after protestant state churches in his most admired countries of the West, it became as much dysfunctional in its spiritual role as the protestant state churches in the West.

Excellent and insightful interview! However, I am thinking sometimes we have the terms reversed. Christianity is progressive in every way, shape, and form, while socialism, fascism, and the like are regressive in every way, shape and form. Great explanation about the damage Sola Scriptura has done to Christianity. Thank you.

Orthodoxy is both new and old to scandinavia... for example: look at norwegian stave-churches... and look at wooden romanian chruches 👀🇳🇴 there are some striking similarities, combine that with viking hisotry with russia and the baltics and you got a good case going. :)
