Tim you need to get a single axle trailer jockey truck for moving trailer around the yard. So the hydraulic lift fifth wheel and rear exit door would make life fast and simple around the yard.
Your absolutely right. I’m retired after 37 years in the seat. I did two years on a yard dog early in my career at a GM plant and think every driver should spend some time on one. I got way to cocky at the end. If your moving 30-50 trailers a day. If you can’t do every and any kind of backing after that. Your in the wrong business.
You REALLY need to figure out how to do flat loads legally or don't put people at risk and just pull van/reefer. 36:58. 1 strap on each of the front pallets that aren't blocked in place. Are you sure they're under 1100 lbs per? Appears to be no edge protectors on steel beams. Not enough straps on the main stack. You don’t think that brokerage firm got something out of the deal with that meat overage? You can bet they did yet they are trying to screw the carrier over. I’ve seen it all too often! Truckers need to bond together and put and end to brokers or get them to lessen their take of the delivery by a lot and give more to the people actually doing the real work. Big trucking companies also working to put the smaller companies and owner operators out of business completely as well.
You have a set of axle forks those are self loading. But you will need medium forks to haul tractors with Detroit cause if you use small ones they will crush the oil pan on the cross bar.
Tim - a suggestion Find the most expensive items people buy that are shipped by truck and try to obtain the exclusive right to ship them from the manufacturer of the product shipped. Start small with them. Add dedicated fleet as the $ comes in from these runs
I can't believe nobody commented on this, so here goes. Start Small with an exclusive contract? That's not how this works! For that you need volume and to provide volume you need a lot of bloody money. Even if you had those parts taken care of then the only way to get into a shipper of significance is to beat out the current company by a considerable margin. Which means you not only won't make any money but you'll also be driving the rates down even more. So the reality is that Tim isn't going to change the trucking world like he says and with the stuff he's showing I'd consider it a small miracle if he lasts through this downturn. BTW If you haven't noticed Timmy is at a significant proximity advantage to a large manufacturer of the most expensive toy most people will ever buy. I only see 2 options because the trailer isn't available for storage once the BOL is signed. Quick call to the broker to determine one of the following. Return to shipper, which would be the same rate to haul the overage back. Or trucker disposes of the product. What am I missing?
It is sad, but when we are making a right turn, it is a preventable accident. That is the way they take advantage of us. Hope you win against the other driver. Praying for you and your family.
Things suck right now. Ford truck plant is shutdown because of a worhers strike, 99% what I haul is to that plant. Just found out that the gm plant in Arlington tx , workers went on strike yesterday, 70% what our company haul is automotive, so it is bad all around. But did hear that ford workers reached agreement today (10/26/23) so maybe my work will get back to normal next week.
I think you're smart not to have all your eggs in one basket when it comes to trucking right now. Having multiple divisions makes it easier for you to test the markets
That's what kills me about people the one's that are at fault for the accident are the one's claiming their not at fault but video footage don't lie so that dude doesn't have a leg to stand on
Stuffed a couple of extra pallets, not on the BOL or total load weight. Free shipping and possible over gross. The games shippers, receivers and brokers play. This one bit them in the a$$.
Seeing rates and movements down 20%. Diesel is the most expensive, tires have doubled, parts are sky high. Shop labor is not EVEN an option. Glad everything is paid for. Keeping it to no/minimal deadhead am still doing okay. Sure would suck if I had a house and it was full of pie holes though.

"saved our butts hopefully" exactly a slick lawyer on other side might find something even something tiny as a 5min error in logs to flip things around as i have heard about before.
I think that the problems here in Europe are almost the same. Fuel prices sky high, wages low, the problems of a big lack on drivers, low rates for the freight, a lack on truckstops, esspecially the resting/parking places alongside the higways, a low respect for the drivers when they come to the recipients of the loads. The difference between the payment and treqatment of drivers from eastern and western drivers by western truckingcomapnies..........well it is a long list. Good Luck Tim with your company.!

New business as I suggested is accretive- assuming you know what that means.
Do not need to be lectured to somebody who ostensibly is an observer.
Tim get’s it & messaged same to me.
So my suggestion to you is - Just Watch
@@bobrohrer2501I'll just ignore ALL the warning signs and be waiting patiently for Tim to take over basically everything.
It's quite a challenge to guide anyone that knows more than the experts 5 minutes into their task. Best of luck.
To be clear, I don't care if he succeeds, just whether he causes great bodily harm to the general public in his pursuit of shortcuts.
I only see 2 options because the trailer isn't available for storage once the BOL is signed. Quick call to the broker to determine one of the following. Return to shipper, which would be the same rate to haul the overage back. Or trucker disposes of the product. What am I missing?
I have done reefer you just tell them the overages were disposed of and your trailer is loaded on the next load already
that is a good answer
Wow can't wait to see that video. All the best y'all 👍
Hi Tim Gentry and Sons and family
It is sad, but when we are making a right turn, it is a preventable accident. That is the way they take advantage of us. Hope you win against the other driver. Praying for you and your family.
Things suck right now. Ford truck plant is shutdown because of a worhers strike, 99% what I haul is to that plant. Just found out that the gm plant in Arlington tx , workers went on strike yesterday, 70% what our company haul is automotive, so it is bad all around. But did hear that ford workers reached agreement today (10/26/23) so maybe my work will get back to normal next week.
ITS AMAZEING HOW THOSE DOGS STAY OUT OF THE WAY
Hey what’s up fam how y’all doing much love let’s go #GNSTRUCKING stand up checking in with y’all one love fam
It's cool that you have came to guntersville im not to far from that location
I think you're smart not to have all your eggs in one basket when it comes to trucking right now. Having multiple divisions makes it easier for you to test the markets
Tim please keep the yellow Pete in remembrance of the ole yeller cab over!
Tim, strip loins are New York Steaks in the Meat counter.....check the price of a New York steak at the Meat case...
That's what kills me about people the one's that are at fault for the accident are the one's claiming their not at fault but video footage don't lie so that dude doesn't have a leg to stand on
We donate to the local feed bank when we have situation like that.
Beef loin
Beef tenderloin has a few other names, including fillet, eye filet, and tenderloin steak. Because it comes from the loin primal cut of the animal, some also refer to beef tenderloin as primal steak or loin steak.
Times get hard I peice loads together ..LTL is better than 1 full load I peice 3 LTLs together planning the loads of coarse..it doubles for me what rates is right now n that's dry box ..I got 6 trailor 2 trucks an we pull various stuff but the 2 dry boxs with general freight is what's paying bills for me at the moment tim...
Tim you should get ahold of south Georgia hot shot and see if you can buy there mack.
Tim if they do you wrong on the meat load tell them you like to see a gun when your being robbed!!!!😂😂!!!! Hopefully things will be getting better in the industry and making it worth it for you guys to stay in business!!! I think it’s great with the little extra money you can make with the tow truck and the dump truck and are you still hauling scrap metal for those extra dollars too!!!???? See you in the next video and hopefully you’ll be making money off that accident and it won’t hurt the flow of getting the jobs done!!!!
Do the dog around the trucks give anybody else anxiety??
"saved our butts hopefully" exactly a slick lawyer on other side might find something even something tiny as a 5min error in logs to flip things around as i have heard about before.
Tims got the meat bbq at gentry n sons this weekend lol
I think that the problems here in Europe are almost the same. Fuel prices sky high, wages low, the problems of a big lack on drivers, low rates for the freight, a lack on truckstops, esspecially the resting/parking places alongside the higways, a low respect for the drivers when they come to the recipients of the loads. The difference between the payment and treqatment of drivers from eastern and western drivers by western truckingcomapnies..........well it is a long list. Good Luck Tim with your company.!
Everyone has to be patient, JOE’S GOT A PLAN.
Enjoying the videos Tim!
Good evening y'all
