  • In this video we take a look at a couple of examples of a quite rare and iconic
twinshock dirt bike from the 1970's and these 1974/75 European made Ossa Phantom 250's were regarded at that time as one of the better bikes of that 1970's era.

Good morning Chris ,That Ossa 250 Remindes me of my Bultaco Persang . Mine was a 74. I wish I never sold my classic. Now it’s just my street bike 81 KZ750 LTD. Got it when I was 18. 42 Years old now. Carb problems now.

I remember as a kid, probably 74 or 75 in southern Illinois outside Belleville there was a place called “the Cinders”. It was more of a trail along a busy road, there were a lot of good trails there. One day I was up at the Cinders on my bicycle and somebody on an OSSA was hitting a jump, to me it looked incredible. Though I suspect now it was probably 20 or 30 feet, it was the first time I ever saw a motorcycle jump. I’ll never forget it.

Chris, an important video, little is known about Ossa bikes, well done. Love to see more info on this manufacturer. Best regards.

Hi Marc Your absolutely correct back in the day these were still good bikes but as you say little is known or talked about them and very little if any information is available on the internet and the material I used was from a friend who raced these Phantoms back in the day. But thanks once more for your comments on my postings.
