Thank you!! The whole shoot was the perfect scenario to see how mobile and on the fly I could be with the FX3. I've also used it for a short film with a monitor setup, rigs, and lights
I made a base LUT in DaVinci Resolve, imported it into the FX3, applied it to all my clips in post as a base, and then did additional grades, mostly in the second half of the video.
man ... i'm not gonna lie this piece put smile on my face all through .... thanks for making this . cinematography is amazing , i like 24p when shots are so fast ... very engaging. may be i'm wrong but thanks
That's all I wanted! Obviously to show how good the FX3 can be, even with just one person behind the camera, but smiles all the way through is the most important thing!
@@rjaymolina And this is why it looks so natural and spontaneous. It was sony lens ?This autofocus looks so good that almost convinced me to buy sony f3.
@@martinkriiom Not a sony lens for this one! Just a tamron, but I do have cine lenses that were used for a short film (here's a clip: ruclips.net/video/2sbyonIgbfA/видео.html) and I use a Sony GM lens for my run-and-gun shoots now.
This is Absolutely breathtaking Quality!!! My only question is what did you use to record the audio??? and what settings was the audio on!!! Your audio is just as top notch as the footage!!! This is amazing
Thanks! I typically swap between 3 cine lenses, but since this was shot on the fly and I needed flexibility, I used a Tamron 28-75mm from my photography kit
Just an old Tamron 28-70 🙂 Was going to use my prime cine lenses, but since I was a 1-person crew and needed to get low to the ground, I figured something small with autofocus was better!

Amazing work! Love it!
Thanks so much for watching!
Beautiful work. Did you shot everything handheld?
Thank you! And yes, I brought my ronin gimbal but forgot to bring the charger 😅 So no choice but to go handheld
What setting did you film this in!!! its perfect for a documentary !!!
Thank you! Just used normal settings (24FPS | 1/50 shutter | ISO around 640)!
this was a documentary.
This video is so beautiful! ❤
Thank you, Anne! :)
Do you use LUTS for your color grade? I mean for this project, or was it done from scratch by yourself?
I made a base LUT in DaVinci Resolve, imported it into the FX3, applied it to all my clips in post as a base, and then did additional grades, mostly in the second half of the video.
really clean and great story!
Hey! Thank you!
this was pretty awesome
Thank you so much for watching :)
wow
I remember in the 70's I had my skates. I had fun with them. That is a very nice feeling. Then my brother sold them for drugs. That broke my heart.😢
it’s not too late to buy skates!
Definitely not too late to buy skates! I'm so sorry that happened
Great work. As a former speed skater (on ice) I love this.
Awesome! Thank you for watching! Speed skating on ice would have been an awesome highlight video as well

Great stuff. Finally I like sony colors. Autofocus ? Gimbal? Very good job🤛
Thank you! Autofocus and no gimbal. I actually brought one to use, but I forgot my charger for it. I had to just go all handheld!

Thank you! Love your content too!
@@rjaymolina Thnx 😁
What mic did you use with the fx3 ? Audio is great !
Thanks! I forgot the XLR handle, so I had to use the internal mic in the camera body and fixed it in post!
Awesome man! How did you grade it?
@@rjaymolina oh with s log 3?
@@OneRequiem123 Yup!
Hey, that's great, congratulations. How can I make the graphics of the letters that you put at the beginning?

This was beautifully shot and edited. Love the fluidity of the Sony and how smooth your conversation is. Great job, RJ!
Thanks Tiffany!!

The FX3 comes with an XLR handle for audio, but I forgot it 😅 Just used the in-camera microphone and fixed the audio in post-production!
Awesome! What lens are you using?
Thanks! I typically swap between 3 cine lenses, but since this was shot on the fly and I needed flexibility, I used a Tamron 28-75mm from my photography kit
Fantastic video and mini doc, RJ. As an owner of the FX30 I love seeing fellow users create such good content. Cheers.
Thank you for watching and likewise!

SBCC parking lot jams
Not gonna lie, I came here thinking I was about to watch a skateboard film 🤣
Sorry! I hope this was a decent alternative 😅
