If you talk to William in English only, Bentley will want to learn so he can understand too.
It's hard because they on the show. Korean will not like it. I think it's why Ben still can't speak in English. Multi cultural parents usually talk to their child in their native languages, mom can take the Korean and dad can take the English but they cannot do that yet because they're on "Korean TV" show
yeah, just look at Haru daughter of Tablo, when they left the show, haru grew to be better in speaking english.
@@ginahwang07 They probably meant IRL. This show films like, what... Every three weekends? Something like that. There's plenty of non-filming time for Sam to be speaking in English. I don't think it was bad that Will-Ben focused on speaking Korean first, but now that Sam wants them to learn in earnest, there's plenty of time for that.
@@michellelagumay3153 Yeah, that's true. It's good for them to be able to speak in English in early age but I still want to see them on the show.
@@anthyavila9726 I think Sam mention that before. Sam is busy, so Ben and Will spent time more with their Mom more than with Sam. their live in Korean too. and they don’t have English Speaker friends, so that understanable. please don’t force Sam cuz Bentley not fluent in English. there’s too many reasons why Sam don’t teach Ben english
When Bentley said his father is from China, I lost it 😂😂😂
LMAO💀🤣🤣
😂
when ben become older, he'll probably thank his dad for teaching him on how to speak english
useless in korea tbh no point learning it
maybe only read little bit
and for suneung and that's about it
@@Sanyu-Tumusiime he can travel to places that has english as their main language and speak to the people with no problems. and because he’s also australian, his family on his fathers side speaks english so it’s good that he can speak both korean and english
@@akekeke134 google translate exist. i mean but like they're probably going to continue to live in korea forever so there's no point. yes his family so maybe little conversation might be helpful and for the college admissions test in korea, but aside from that there's absolutely no point knowing english in koera. when i was in korea i never used english. i only talk in korean and read and write in korean. english was useless to me.
@@Sanyu-Tumusiime well most of korean envy him and learning english is still useful in Korea. It's a great merit. I'm Korean
@@user-de8fz3os1o yeah people envy it. but like it's really so useless still. it's not helpful in Korea. I lived for 6 years and pretty much never used it in daily life.
Actually, before Sam became a comedian, he was an English teacher in Korea.
Really?!😳
Wow!! 😍
He even played an Englisch teacher in the Korean drama “Who are you”☺️
@@two_crazy_souls4264 wait school 2015! I just remembered omg
I got the joke! Hahaha
Sam should talk to william in english and when bentley join the conversation they'll talk to ben in english but if ben answer in korean they should say they cannot understand him and talk in english
they always watch english movies and always talks in english when they're not shooting
No he has to do more than that. He has to actively teach Ben directly and talk to him. Because my parents only spoke to me and my siblings in English but to each other in Spanish. As a result none of us speak Spanish. I had to study hard to know even the basics.
@@CommunityUUG I agree with this! I totally relate because now, I can't fully understand Vietnamese. It's best if they keep practicing with actual conversations.
@@CommunityUUG but if you constantly hear your parents speak to each other in Spanish, wouldn't you pick up the language as well?
@@CommunityUUG I agree bc as a Korean American, my first language was Korean. I was much better at it than English, but once I started school, my parents wanted me to learn English because that’s more important when living in the states. So, I would speak only English with my parents and siblings, but as a result I’m at a kindergarten level at Korean now. I think when learning more than one languages it’s important to be actively learning both, especially when your younger, or else your brain forgets the not as important one.
From my experience, children learn languages faster than adults. Secondly, Bentley and William will speak Korean regardless as they live in said country. From my experience with my daughter, she was 3 when we moved to Germany. Spoke no word German. She learned it at school, so at home we only spoke English. Though we now live in the UK, we both speak German and English with each other. Maybe Sam, try speaking only English with both of them at home, I believe Ben will pick up quickly. Fighting Ben. You can do it👍👍👍
It’s not the same though. They are half Koreans, their mother speaks to them only in Korean. It’s only natural that they would know Korean better.
@@aykakatibli7249 I am aware that their mom is Korean. My point is, they do live in Korea, right? That being the case, they will learn Korean not only at school/ kindergarten, but also on the playground, and interactions with other children and adults. I wish them all the best. You can do it Bentley. 😊😊👍
@@zinnadakinah8453 I meant that your case is very different from Sam’s.
This is absolutely right! Children will always learn language faster than adults. Remember Naeun also from this show, she spoke english german korean and spanish by the age of four. I think it depends on how they do it at home. Sam talks more in Korean since he is very fluent in korean so its easy for him. Naeun’s mom is not very fluent so she spoke german to naeun. her dad spoke korean to her. She learned english from her mom also. and she spoke spanish with her grandma.
@@aykakatibli7249
Sam can still speak to them in English only. But he'll have to use Korean with his wife since she doesn't know English
I'd readily buy William's "Hey, don't do it to me" on a shirt!
I think he said “don’t hit me”
@@ngocbichvuong4990 He DOES say it at 5:08 If you're going to "correct" someone make sure you're actually correct, sweetie.
At 5:08 is "Hey, don't do it to me" then at 5:22 is "Hey, don't hit me".
@@anthyavila9726 no need to be passive aggressive. They said "I think" implying that they are not certain
now Ben and William are very fluent in English now 😹 i feel proud
Sam said he speaks English with the boys when they’re at home, he said he speaks Korean for the show. The boys are still little they can pick up languages so fast
This family is really funny. The way their father teaches/explain things, he always set his position towards his sons level of understanding. ❤️❤️❤️
That’s how your supposed to teach
They remind me of myself when i was six , my family don't even talk to me unless i speak in chinese but i always talk in my language so it was hard and my first language isn't english , so i speak 4 different language now , its okay bentley , you can do it , hard at first but its worth when you are getting older , okay 😭✔️
My uncle who is Brazilian and has two British daughters did the same! He only answered them if they spoke Portuguese with him, that’s seems harsh at first but it’s the most effective way to make kids do some effort, and once they do, they learn exceptionally fast
When the cameraman said he was practicing... I lost it!
I was able to learn English first because everyone in my family was conversing in English. We always watch English cartoons and movies, listen to English music and then I learned our native language while listening other people. Like it will just come to you naturally. On my third language, I was watching anime. Like I was simultaneously watching different genres of anime. Historical, modern, etc. Then you’ll pick up the words.
Awesome, keep going!
I'm the first one in my family to speak in English as a second language I can understand 98% of what people are saying or write in English but the problem is I don't really have anyone to practice with so I keep listening most of the time and when I open my mouth is feel like I haven't learned anything 😂 I'm a bit slow talker
@Kate A Thank you so much , u made my day , I was just studying and I saw your comment 😊😊🐧
3:23 Ben: Help me~ help me~
Also ben talking like a gangster: WhAt?!wHaT?!
He is so ADORABLE🥰
I want to hug him🥺
And I love William speaking in English, he is so good. Keep it up, cutie🥰
ben is a pure-blooded korean 🤣
This reminds me when Sam made a cameo appearance on School 2015 drama as an English Teacher..lol
Which sceneee
@@lilbunny9712 last episode I think (or the one before)
@@ISangaloUnofficialFR thankyou!
Omg William knows both English and Korean well done baby❤️
This situation is similar with my sister's kids. Her first born, the daughter is only 4 years old and able to switch seamlessly between English and Malay but the younger one, the son simply, outrightly refused to acknowledge any English words despite of the kids being raised bilingually 😂😂
It's so funny when kids act like this tho
It's admirable that Sam is trying. My dad is from China but he worked when I was younger and my siblings and I never learned his language (my mom only speaks English). Good luck teaching your kids!
I can’t stop laughing. Ben is surely a cute boy and his dad has to tolerate with him so much about learning English. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love these two mischievous kids..William and Bentley..
Ben doesn't speak English well, just simply teach him the English sentence when he speaks Korean for answering, and then he could learn it. I can feel what he feels.
Thought that Bently already knew English but he just refused to speak in English, because he can answer correct answer in Korean
Now that WilBen have their own show, you could tell they improved their English a lot. Really cool how kids learn really quick
My grandparents had this rule in the house growing up we only speak Spanish in the house no English in the house even if we’re talking to each other (my cousins and I) and outside the house we could speak any language we want that’s how I learned English in school
It's a gradual process and Bentley will eventually get there. The struggles of being bilingual are real lol.
Omgggg I’m blown away by teacher Sam lololol he’s so strict but amazing
I just love when sam told them to sit down both of them tried to sit down on the tray 😂😂
CHINA 😂😂😂🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ Bentley! hahaha
6:54 the way william asked the cameramen when he hits sam appa. awwww william
Bentley: *China* HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
HAHAHAHAHA Sam was swearing with his eyes to the cameramen
Its actually good to teach kids in English in such a young age, so when they grow up and visit other country they’re able to communicate with others. Im from Philippines and immigrated here in Canada and I’m having a hard time to communicate with other specially when its our first time here, Now I’m levelling up everyday with the help of my ELL class. What I’m really pointing is to study in english so It wouldn’t be hard, you can use your english knowledge too in high school and college.
3:10 the way Bentley said white in Korean was funny.
My kids are bilingual they were born in USA but I’m from Cuba so I speak Spanish to them since they were little. My parents doesn’t speak English so they need to talk to them in Spanish. I had many times the kids didn’t wanted to speak in Spanish because is not their language but I keep talking to them in that language anyways. They now thanks me for keep pushing them to learn Spanish and appreciate the efforts I did for them to be able to communicate with Spanish speakers with out any problems. Sam is doing a good job pushing the kids to learn English. Love the show greetings from Pennsylvania USA 🤗
Australian-Korean but can't speak English lmao Bentley 🤣❤️
Sam makes Dad's life pretty fun.
3:23 why is no one talking abt this CUTE INTERACTIONS!!!
now raise those hands who went back on this video to watch Bentley being frustrated in learning English 😂 He speaks English so well now. 😌
Ben taking revenge on his dad 🤣
This made me think of myself when I was a kid. I used English at school but I was only allowed to speak in my mother tongue at home. I took language classes (I eventually begged to quit lol) but I think the best way I learned was through daily life. It's important to make learning languages not seem like a chore
the way ben argues white confidently was sooo funny
William is so good brother and his english is so cutee 💗
Toddlers can speak and understand more than 3 languages. Sam shouldve spoken english since they were babies so bilingual at home that way there won't be a struggle like this 😅
“Hey don’t do it to me” should have a merch
I love the cameraman
벤틀리 넌 대단한 어린이야 아무런 꾸밈없이도 언제나 이쁘고귀여워
Sam: Until when are you going to sing ABCD?
Ben: *proceeds to sing ABCD* lmao
I'm so glad.. a year later Bentley's English improving so much
사랑스러운 우리 윌벤 영어공부 열심히해야 나나할머니하고 통화할수있단다 귀여운 윌벤 화이팅!
Now Ben already know how to speak english and even had an aussie accent
Why not use positive reinforcement instead of the trays? I would not be motivated by this kind of thing either. Let there be a nice prize after they say the right thing instead of getting angry at Ben for wrong answers
Just make them watch English shows only, that’s how I learned English as a kid.
Let's just give him some time, Ben will be fluent in both Eng and Kor. :) caz he's an amazing super baby😆 우리 벤틀리🥰
😂😂china...thank you...I'm starting to laugh from the very start itself 😂😂...soo cute...they are..❤️❤️
I've been waiting this
I really love this family. Saying hello from Philippines 😊 it's really hard to learn english but it is important. I feel how Bentley was struggling to speak in English
사랑해요
2:58 this is my tone every time i convince myself to study 😂😂
What my parents use to do was speak in English to me at home since I learned Korean in Korea when I was in Kindergarten-first grade and of course they taught me Korean as well but they only spoke English to me mostly so I would understand both equally and then we moved to China, it took us a long time to learn Mandarin and finally after nearly three years we got the hang of it and now I’m fluent in all three languages, nowadays we speak mixed, English, Korean and Mandarin.
I don't get why some comments would name drop and compare them to other kids. Yes, children are good at learning languages, but obviously every child is different. Some children can pick up languages easier, and some just takes a little bit more time. It's not a big deal for Sam (he literally said it here) whether or not they learn English, so why would you compare them to other kids as if the other kids are better and more intelligent just because they speak other languages? Can't we just appreciate each child's capabilities and watch them grow beautifully?
Exactly..im so tired of all the comparisons 😑
first time I’ve heard an Australian speak korean so well haha, cute video 💕💕 lovely family
Ahh you can see how Sam feels looking at his eyes ;; Kids learn languages so quickly, he'll definitely pick up English if it's spoken often at home!!
7:27!!! Williammmm!!!! HAHAHAHA
Williams English is amazing😆👌
A B C D APPLE... soooo cuttteeeee🤩🤩😍😍😍😍
it's cute when Sam ask William a favor 🤣
Im sure bentley will speak in english very soon. it must be hard for him at first cuz he feel comfortable in korean, people around him speak in korean and he does love korea plus he feel confused cuz sam keep asking him to speak in other language that sound strange for him, we all know our cute bent is kinda rebel and have strong opinions.
but if sam and william keep talking in english together, bentley will join them slowly cuz a strong minded boy like him shoudn’t be force to do something, the urge have to come from inside him. He just need more time to adjust and feel intrested in learning english.
Fighting daddy sam.
Believer in the background music... It was soo funny..!!
THEY ARE THE CUTEST I CAN'T STOP smiling 🤣🤣🤣
Now, Ben speaks more English than Korean. I just wanted to see this again because it was hilarious. 😂
I love willben very much. They are so cute. Love from 🇮🇳Indiaaa
Being an Indian its quite not a everyday sight to find someone watching such korean shows.. Im actually feeling gr8..☺️
@@AONAI.777 Actually I don't know how I fall in love with this show .After seeing some of these shows I am actually loving Korea very much. Even I am curious to know that any other Indian is seeing this show.
If the producers also okayed the use of punishment to learn English then they are sorely mistaken. That is not fun learning.
sam shld try just talking to his wife and william in english and after a while bentley would pick up the words and want to learn to understand what everyone else is saying
If they dont film. William talks to his dad in english. Benteley understans english and answers his dad in korean. Haha
@@iamgrey8152 But that won't make Bentley fluent. This happens a lot in America to Latinx kids, their parents talk to them in Spanish but they answer in English. As a result, the language dies with the children because they can't speak Spanish to the next generation cause they didn't practice when they were little. Most second-generation Latinx-American only can understand Spanish and maybe read Spanish if they took it in school).
His wife cant understand English, she doesn't want learn too. He say it a lot.
THIS IS SO FUNNY
The cameraman is savage
I miss them so muchh
The moment he came out of the room...i was like damnn he's handsome.
they picked up their legs at the same time 🤣🤣🤣 4:04
Omo bennn 😘😘,,but now he really fluently in English,,and has good American aksen.💓
BENTLEY SO CUTEEEE
Too much cuteness Ben 😍😍
A B C D APPLE 🍎
Man I’ve been saying them wrong this entire time lol 😂
He's teaching his kids English as a Second Language instead of raising them bilingual, and I don't 100% understand why ...
They are sooo Cuteeee
Did they upload this last week? I remember watching this like a couple of days ago.
Yes...i too saw it
i think you watched it in KOKOWA TV
KOCOWA usually uploads clips of new episodes like a week before the release of that episode.
Unlisted
Omg bentley is big now omggg
I like these kids. Bentley is so cute. William speaks English fluently. They are both handsome like their father Sam
Looking at the thumbnail, I already laughing hahaha cutie Ben
watching WilBen brightens up my mood
I love Sam and he is hilarious!! But I did want to say I'm a Linguist and it is VERY important for children to learn a new language as early as possible. Maybe Sam was saying that it isn't important specifically for his kids. But in general, the first few years of life are when children acquire language easiest. It sets the foundation for language learning for the rest of their lives. It is much more difficult to learn a new language as a teenager than a kid and even more difficult as an adult. I am married to a Korean man myself and we will be speaking naturally to our kids in both Korean and English from birth. This is very important for natural language acquisition. I love Sam. He is a GREAT dad! I just wanted to fact-check what he said for anyone watching this who has children in bilingual homes and wants their children to learn both languages. Earlier is better.
He should've incorporate food in his teaching. Bentley will learn faster and will like learning English😆😆😆
Ben saying he doesn't want to study English but is now saying "I can do it myself" in TheWillBenShow
Sam is such a great dad❤😊
Loveyou willbennnn ❤️❤️❤️
the thumbnail had me laughing
"Hey, don't do it to me !" I love it 😍
Learning languages is easier during childhood. Kids nowadays learn english through tv shows or cartoons. As a toddler, my parents talked to me using our mother tongue but they included english sentences as well. I too watched children shows (currently missing my early 2000s childhood shows😌). When I started school, it was developed and strengthened. And in 1st grade, I started learning my 3rd language-our national language.
If only Dora spoke in pure spanish, I would prolly be fluent in the language as well😂
Am I the only one that got hyped up when William said “LMNOP” cuz like I heard they have a new abc song
