very clear explanation, thank you. btw, can you tell me how to make sub menu in the navigation bar? for example, in the "our products" navigation bar there are sub navigation bar "bracelets", " neclace", and "earings" inside it.. and when we click it, the page will go to each of the products. can you make the tutorial?
It will depend on whether you are going to do it with two websites and link them with the sub navigation or whether you are going to do it ALL on the one page
@@kayraythecats72 yes and you can choose to make ALL websites visible or just the main page. Each of the pages are a separate one page website and when you click the buttons it takes you to the previous or the next step of the tutorial. Say you were doing a 3 day challenge you can have day 1 is one page, day 2 is the next page and day 3 and interlink between them. If it is free content I would make them ALL visible so they get crawled by Google. If it is paid content then password protect it. Or make it NON visible to search engines
Thank you, that was very helpful! 😊 Dow you know there's a way to add a logo in the very left corner with the navigation bar at the top? That would be very helpful as well! 🙏🏻
Just add it to your banner. Everything is just a slide. So create a banner at the top you can how I do it with mine pambrossman.com/smvme pambrossman.com/courses pambrossman.com/templates pambrossman.com/aiart Just make the slide at the top a logo. Or if you are doing text navigation put the logo on whatever side you want on that slide.
If you want to create your own I use these legal templates pambrossman.com/legaltoolkit for everything. Full disclosure I am a promotional partner as I organised these for my students to be able to use in their own business, books, journals and digital products too.
Thanks for the tutorial. Are you able to ask for emails within canva or do I need to use convertkit for example, lets say so that they can download a lead magnet and also add them to email list?
Not at this point you just send them to an email opt-in form and attach that to the button on the page. I do that with pre-registration pages all the time. I am actually setting up a Pre-reg page today for my new Canva membership program launching in October.
PamBrossman.com/ehq Here is an example you can see I set one up today on a Canva website with a link to an opt-in box which I use Aweber for my lead generator.
Thank you Pam, very clear steps. My question is can we have subpages in the Menu ? Per example, I would like to have About us, and once you select it you see a list of subpages Our Mission, Our Team, Our Clients. Is that possible ?
You can but they are just three websites so you would have to have the PRO version because you only get 5 websites with free. At the moment they are only ONE page websites but you just create internal pages here is an example pambrossman.my.canva.site/one-pager-marketing-day-1
Thank you for the tutorial. But I can not find navigation and preview option in my canva tools. I have a finished naming the title but I can't find where the tools to publish it with navigation bar. I can only see how to publish it like k did the first time.
Are you in the new version of Canva that updated in May or the original version of Canva. If you cannot see it contact support because it should be there. Go to 7.47 mins into the video and you will see in the preview that there is a button at the bottom that says include navigation menu so you can turn it on in preview. Or you can turn it on when you go to publish it. I am not sure if it is a Pro feature only. Do you have Free or Pro version of Canva?
I am using a free version and I don't know if it's the updated or original one. I am a new user of the site and it's not yet familiar with it. I would appreciate your assistance in knowing how to check if it is the updated version and to do the necessary update. Yes, I observed the preview section from your dashboard but I can't find it in mine. Also, when I tried to publish my website, the option to select the navigation menu it's not there. If it is not a Pro feature, then I would have to contact support as you have recommended. Thank you so much for your response.
@@joelchijioke5920 The update was a limited roll out only 1 million users got it. I would contact support because if you do not have it then I would be showing you all wrong because it looks a bit different in the new one.
@@mistressfrancess9458 Contact Canva support they will be able to help you. It may have something to do with whether you have Canva Free or Pro or if you are in the new Canva update or still using the old one.
Hello Pam! I have a question. I design web invitations on Canva. My clients want to have an audio player in the website. A single song. But I can’t find a third party app (even paid) that will work. I have the basic paid plan on Elfsight but it only allows me to create 3 widgets. The next plans have note widgets but not limitless. So it won’t work for my business because I need to create several web invitations in Canva with different songs… Can you recommend a third party app audio player that could work for me? Thank you in advance for reading my question and for your response! 😊
@MARIAFERNANDAORE this is how you can do it for free with just a Canva video on the page. If you are talking about Canva websites that's how you do it. Not sure about other websites because I only use Canva websites. My advice. Create the web invitations on a Canva website and then just do what I did here. Click on this link and scroll down to where it says " Canva Audio Experiment" All I did was create a video, resized it, added whatever images I wanted and the audio and dragged it onto the page. That's what I would do and it's free. If you only have Canva free you only get 5 websites but if you have Canva pro you get unlimited. Just contact Canva and find out if you can host other people's invitations under your account otherwise you can get them to create a Free Canva account and create it under THEIR account name. Works both ways. Here is the link to show you what I did. Took me 10 mins and cost me nothing. Just scroll down the page till you find the heading 'Audio Experiment' pambrossman.com/ft
I am not sure what you mean. If you want to do the navigation bar you just go into all pages and name the pages you want to be on the navigation bar and leave all the other pages blank. When you publish and turn on navigation bar it will show the ones you named at the top and when you click on them they take you down the page. Here is an example of one of mine with the navigation bar at the top based on the names of the pages in the website I want to show up. When you click on the links on the navigation bar it takes you that part of the website pambrossman.my.canva.site/mctb
Because some people like to have products on the one page and they can click directly to that part of the page. Also you can have a LONG one page Many marketers have navigation bars for long sales pages. Plus people wanted me to show them how to do it. So I did.

Why do you need a navigation bar for a one page website, you can just scroll. You should teach people how to create a nav bar
Because some people like to have products on the one page and they can click directly to that part of the page. Also you can have a LONG one page
Many marketers have navigation bars for long sales pages. Plus people wanted me to show them how to do it. So I did.
