I am still surprised how far the 300 litres of compost went, I still need a lot more but at least I am now in a position to grow in the soil in the greenhouse instead of pots.
I also filed my old pond many years ago with all my neighbours clippings and cutting and other garden waste... it worked really well and ment we did not need much soil lol... I topped it up again this year :)😀
the word " hugelkultur " seems to be a recent word for something my grandad used to do years ago. he always used to tell me it was the best way to get rid of a lot of garden rubbish................brian
I'm hoping to get my greenhouse glass in tomorrow. It was too cold previously and the panes shattered. This is my 2nd year growing. I'm looking forward to sowing
Good luck getting your glass in tomorrow, I went with twin wall so it wouldn’t shatter but it is so flimsy compared to glass. What are you sowing in the greenhouse this year?
@@AllotmentAdventure I had a video of my growing last year. I have so many seeds it's ridiculous. I need a pea frame and hopefully getting one for my birthday. I also have cucamelon, chillies galore, tomatoes and crystal apple cucumber that you showed a few weeks ago
Unfortunately I didn’t have any logs to hand. Hopefully I will be getting the trees cut down out the back soon, if so I will use them logs in my next raised beds.
Hello another lovely video, thanks for sharing I always find allotment update videos relaxing. I would be over the moon if you would check our my allotment channel too we have a competition to win some of our allotment tshirts running at the moment. Take care Claire
He hasn’t taken it off, unfortunately RUclips is playing up for him and removing all his videos. He is talks with them now about it and is hopefully getting it sorted. But thanks for letting me know.

I only learnt about it recently but it does seem like a way to clear garden rush, I will be doing it in all my new beds from now on.
Agree been done for hundreds of years, but give it a fancy name in the sixties and its become a "new" thing.
I have been reusing compost bags for potatoes this year too lol and to line beds and compost bin 🤣
Getting there plants will be in in no time
I can’t wait to use the greenhouse this year.

I love them cucamelons, great little cucumber. It’s my first year growing Crystal Apple cucumbers, keep me updated on how yours turn out.
Would have preferred to see some logs in the lower layers, but you use what you got. Good luck hopefully this will sort your indoor pond issue out.
