    Namaste Kishore. Thanks for the informative video, really. I am very curious to know about Hindu Sankalpa mathra chanted during all auspicious activities such as poojas. Can you please make video on details that come in Sankalpa Mantra such as "Jamboo dveepe, bharatha khande, bharatha Varshe, Dwitheeya parardhe, Shweta varah kalpe, Vaivasvatha manvanthare, 28th chathuryuge, Kaliyuga, prathama paade......." Goes like that.
    I understood this explains the time of earth relative to universe or bhrahma kaala.
    Thank you very much.

      In sankalpa, we mention who we are, where we are and what time it is.
      Regarding the time, we mention about which samvatsara it is. However, it's going to repeat in 60 years. Are we missing to specify which block of 60 years we are in?

    • @Ahargana
      @Ahargana  5 месяцев назад +1

      You are correct. The 60 year blocks have no identifying names or numbers. Samvatsara is simply a list of year names. Also the Surya Siddhanta defines samvatsa based on Jupiter's movement. We have abandoned that definition today. We are today using those names for suara varsha and chandra varsha. I have not yet discussed this in Ahargana.

      @@Ahargana thanks for quick response. A person doing sankalpa today may have used the same samvatsara, same aayana, same masa etc 60 years ago. If I draw an analogy to specifying an address, I could say Bull Temple Road without mentioning Bangalore. It may be possible to zero in on to the location using other details. However there is room for error and our impression of old rituals is usually they are thorough without any ambiguity.
      Some of the other responses I get are to specify vikrama shaka year or shalivahana shaka year in sankalpa.

    • @Ahargana
      @Ahargana  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@muralidharrao2711 I got what you are saying. I do mention "Shalivahana shaka" but I don't say they year (1946). Instead I jump to "krodi nama samvatsara" and then uttarayana, Jaishta masa etc. Krodi nama samvatsara has occurred maybe 32 times already in Shalivahana Shaka!

    Very nice work Mr Kishore. I believe the lunisolar calendar is being used in states like Karnataka, Andhra for example and the states like Tamilnadu which uses Panchanga is based on Solar calendar - Am I right??

    Thanks for the fantastic animation. I have a doubt: If the Sun and the Earth are rotating in the same direction, why does the Moon complete 360 degree on crossing the Sun? It must be at least 13 degrees more, since the Sun is also moving

      @@Ahargana Thanks for the reply! From the animation, the measure of angle subtended by Moon from Sun to Sun looks unclear
