    Grankuwagomon ace has to suspend the digimon to keep it from unsuspending….at around 8:10 the DM should have unsuspended.
    “Cards this effect suspended can't unsuspend during your opponent's next unsuspend phase.”
    DM was already suspended.

      @MrJsStrategyPlays  7 месяцев назад

      I must’ve missed that, I didn’t know it had to be suspended by that effect in order to stay suspended

  • @MagnaTimon

    The grandkuwaga ace is really good because you can play it out for free off tyrant, suspend and stun 2 bodies, bottom deck a body and then pop a suspended tamer and the egg lets you swing at something by end of turn. You control an entire board with that combo

    • @MrJsStrategyPlays
      @MrJsStrategyPlays  8 месяцев назад +1

      You can, but then GranKu gets blasted by anything since it has no protection... idk still have to test the deck more, but having LV5 AND LV6 Aces is too much. One's got to go

      @@MrJsStrategyPlays Most green decks have zero protection. Hard play your Granku's if you need to but its a last resort. Use Metlife to stun bodies and digivolve over that with Granku to get bodies tamers off the board, then use end of turn tyrant to bottom deck a digimon, you'll have either wiped their board or wiped and stunned their only usable body. If they have something in the back you'll have at least two redirects most of the time and possibly 3 depending on which level five you have.
      I'm only running 3 metlifes because I only have 3 metlifes. I need to dig up a 4th. If you hate all the aces consider starter deck megakabu for security trashing when it destroys a digimon. Really helps the deck with taking chunks of your opponent when things aren't going your way and you just need to chip their board away.

    How was his Paildramon stripping away the megakabuterimon ace from under your suspended Tyrant? Shouldn't he be immune to all digimon effects? Or does source stripping somehow circumvent that protection?

    • @kido6076

      The stripping effect came from the Davis & Ken Double Tamer and Tyrant is only unaffected by Digimon effects

    2:28 you cannot unsuspend here, because of the DNA paildramon bt16 it is a blanket effect so nothing on your board can unsuspend. Imperial could have kept his pail alive. Unless im silly and tyrant can be unaffected by Digi effects this early.

      Tyrant says while this digimon is suspended, it is unaffected by the effects of your opponent's Digimon. Tyrant was suspended when he digivolved into Paildra. Am I missing something?

      @@MrJsStrategyPlays i can see the problem yes, i cut my kuwaga down to 2 and added the stingmon that evolves for 1. Just trying to build stacks for less and choke the opponent early on so my overflow doesnt hurt as badly since they are further behind at that point.
      I found for myself that i need to find the kuwaga more often because at the end it comes out for free from tyrant and loses me the same memory as a hercules would in the same play

    Like Faqo said you can't swing them play something unless you used rhinokabuteris when attacking effect.
    But also nothing in that imperial deck is protected from battle deletion unless they play or evo bt16 exvee which they didn't.
    Edit: im dumb, option gave protection from battle.

    Heya. Given your commentary, I thought I should give some of my perspectives having been planning this deck for a while.
    First of all, and I tell this to everyone, replacing Hercules for Shivamon feels TERRIBLE. It is really nice to see consistency in getting a boss monster to exert control, better than a brick that will only show up in 4 niche matchups. Not sure you would want to remove Grankuwagamon ACE for it with some of the strong tamers, namely imperial, going around.
    In regards to the ACEs, I have personally commited on a 2/2 ratio between both. Neither of them are go to level 6s, and I include them mainly to deal with specific situations. MegaKabuterimon has been especially useful in the imperial matchup, when I do not have access to metallife or Izzy, which is somewhat common.
    RhinoKabuterimon is an inclusion you should consider. Swinging at End of Turn with Rhino to evolve into Tyrant for 3 is crazy nice. Generally evolving for a much more reduced cost is something the deck appreciates.
    Something I would also like to point out is I have found BT3 Terriermon as a floodgate to be generally more useful than pomu, as the memory gain applies to a bigger spread of matchups. Something to also consider is the use of ST17 Lopmon, that helps make your killing turns a little more secure. For a slow deck as Tyrant is, it really is some big help.
    Hope I could help!

    • @MrJsStrategyPlays
      @MrJsStrategyPlays  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks for your tips. I haven't tried Rhino out, I've seen ppl play Cherry and Argo which I think I might gravitate toward. I'll have to test out Shiva too in that case, as for the Aces, I just find Tyrant way too slow and the overflow is such a detriment. But I would say I'm leaning toward MegaKabu being more necessary than GranKu as wild as that is to say
      I've been trying to figure out why people are playing the memory blocker rookies but I don't see it besides mirage? Or I guess numemon

    • @afonsoviveiros2605
      @afonsoviveiros2605 7 месяцев назад

      @@MrJsStrategyPlays I agree, depending on your meta, GranKuwagamon might not push too much weight. Sometimes I see myself putting it to 3 just to have a reliable hard play to bottom deck 12k, but I am still undecided in that regard.
      As for the memory blockers, there are a couple instances. Vs Imperial, you stop them keeping turn after DNA, which I found is a little more consistently useful given that should that deck get rookies while you can not clear them, they generate all resources they want afterwards. You can make it harder for Looga to keep turn after going Fenrir. A lot of decks are teching memory boosts not only for the imperial matchup, but because they like it more over trainings, mainly Magna X, which makes it all the more valuable. Against Promo Ukko, which quite a few decks are running, you stop some memory gain. Vs Yellow Vaccine, it is a nice way to stop some memory gain from Patamon / Gatomon.
      As most floodgates, they are situationally dependant, but I have found them way more useful vs decks like Nume or Imperial than Pomumon would be.

    i’m not using any megakabuteri aces at all in my list, i’m using 4 rhinokabuteri and 4 metallife. rhino letting you go to tyrant for 3 is so good. if you still like the DP/Ace factor you could still run two, maybe try replacing some with the cherry/argo like you said. gran ace isn’t as bad in this matchup IMO because you can save it to pop the new davis/ken, they can rarely play a new dual tamer and DNA into a new stack in the same turn. they’d have to go into a lvl6 on the crackback turn in the same turn, or use option removal to out your gran ace. i also think gran ace being played for free by tyrant and going into a second tyrant for only 2 memory is too good that it outweighs the risk of overflow

    • @MrJsStrategyPlays
      @MrJsStrategyPlays  8 месяцев назад +1

      I'm going to try out no MegaKabu in the deck and maybe just max out on the Izzys. GranKu can be a liability, in this matchup it can easily be stripped if they have one dual tamer that stays on field. That being said, I guess GrandKuwaga is high risk, high reward lol
