About Escape from Tarkov
Escape from Tarkov is a hardcore and realistic online first-person action RPG with MMO features developed by Russian Saint-Petersburg-based game developer, Battlestate Games. Set in the fictional Norvinsk region located on the frontier between Russia and Europe, the metropolis of Tarkov was plunged into anarchy thanks to the Contract Wars. What was once a bustling city, is now roamed by rivalling scavenger gangs, former private military forces, and black ops units. Between them all, there's you, your stash, and the escape back to the free world from the depths of Tarkov.
the fact that they can track what gets brought into raid and dropped to teammates proves that they easily refund us when we die to proven cheaters... they know exactly what was brought into raid by every player so it wouldnt be THAT hard
Nikitia 100% isn't the person to talk to about the game. We need an interview with the lead dev or a manager that actually knows what's going on.
If they are testing, they're deciding to release the patches with these flaws. They either are incompetent or are knowingly pushing bad patches.

Are you stupid or dumb? Nikita is the lead dev. Its not like bsg is 1 indie dev, its hard to keep track of everything all at once. Nikita is the perfect guy to talk to. He is passionate about his game.
I wish I could ask pestily if he thought nikita seemed uninterested in the questions being asked, because imo, he definitely did, but at the same time idk if nikita is just naturally very passive/monotone about everything, but someone like pest has probably talked to him on multiple occasions and would be able to tell.
Compare nikita to managament from GGG, GGG managament is so excited every interview to talk about their game, Nikita is such a tool.
Thank god for this 20min summary i couldnt stand an hour and a half interview where nothing gets said.

I am glad for the amount of cheaters they have banned this wipe compared to other wipes which is like 4x times more. But I wish people were flagged for playing with cheaters and got banned/marked if a cheater was banned that they played with. I think this would also help tone done the amount of cheaters that are being (payed by people for carries). I just think that there are to many people people playing with cheaters and they 100% have to know about it. TLDR; Just wish people that played with cheaters were marked when their cheater was banned if they get to many marks that account should be bannned.
Silent walking is realistic. The quiet sounds in the game are too loud and loud sounds are too quiet. You will never hear someone walking 10 meters from you on flat ground, let alone 70 meters away. Try walking silently in real life, it is really easy. It should not be a "bug" but a realistic feature.
i feel like a good change would be for an end of raid screen being able to see once the raid is completely run out and over every players name and have a separate tab for who and what they killed so that u can figure out who killed what especially with the big cheater issue and cheaters legit just killing bosses before anyone can even find them would make for an easy report
I wish they all cared about the game as much as we do. Clearly there are some passionate devs at bsg. It’s frustrating to see our beloved game neglected and treated with such apathy. Hope they’re able to resolve their organizational/structural issues before full release.
To give a little insight for the discussion on cheaters with Nikita and any other dev that works with those systems, it's not very good to go into the deep details of it. It sucks but they need to do it so there is a little bit of fog of war. Due to the main target of these anit cheat systems is not the individual cheaters but the devs that make them. You mostly want to use them as ammo to eventually stop production of some cheats or to make it much worse for them. So it makes sense why he woldn't want to go into depth about what they are doing exactly so these devs don't get a leg up on making any work arounds for the detection of their cheats. And before anyone says they make money on these cheaters, I highly doubt it since most cheat devs usually purchase accounts in bulk, or use compromised accounts (includes dead accounts) to sell to people to run cheats on them rather than their main account.
I wish we got more from an interview like this with including more employees of BSG than just Nikita. He can’t know everything that’s going on or all of the plans, we need to cut him some slack. We just need to know if BSG is hearing us when it comes to game breaking bugs and cheaters.

Wow, after seeing the new edition for $250 and hearing these answers, i know there is no hope for tarkov ever being a good finished product.
Nikkita is checked out. And there are too many issues that will never be fixed.
This just proves even further the incompetence of the dev team..
Generally if a Russian doesn't answer and writes something down its not because he doesn't care.
BSG does read reddit my friend was banned by mistake and got unbanned 5 days later after a dev up the vote.

fuck new maps, fix and optimize the existing maps. add more tasks that arent going to the exact same building over and over and over again
I don't know any of you put up with BSG's shit for so long, I've only played the game for 3 years now and I just don't give a fuck anymore, it's the same shit repeating in an endless cycle with these devs, idk how yall still have hope.

what i really dont like is the direction the game was going. The game that got popular in 2019 is a completely different game from what they are aiming for. If they kept the same ideas and premise as a quick pvp looter shooter and built upon that it would be much better
so we learned almost nothing, yeah that fits BSG's track record nicely. Also add a more invasive anti cheat and ill just quit, people in the industry have proven time and time again that you dont need kernel level access to provide successful anti cheat, not to mention the company is based out of russia, big no thanks

They make way too much money off of cheaters for it to ever change
Get rid of AI scavs and lock player scavs into areas based on scav rep.
The AI are un immersive and dying to a random head shot from a ai scav is a anticlimactic way too ruin a good raid.
Im in the middle of hunting bosses for kappa and they take away the packet loss big L.
The game is set to die in the next couple of years, it hurts to see.

TLDR- nikita doesnt give a fuck about us is what I got from this played since 2017 and the things players want fixed first always come as last priority to BSG just my opinion great game but poorly ran.
Thing that isnt mentioned in this video but if you actually go and watch pests video the 2nd half of his video where pest is talking about a ton of stuff and nikita isnt saying much is cause he writing everything pest talks about down. So if he didnt care, then why take down notes about every subject pest talks about?
Well at this point i just look forward to BSG going bankrupt in a few years massive layoffs coming by the end of the year for sure mark my works
