  • This Ryobi Brush Cutter is part of their Expand It system and works well on their 40v platform. Come with me as we unbox this new tool and put it to use. Ryobi 40v tools have become my favorites and I think this one will work well too. I'll show you just how easy it is to switch tools on their expand It system. I have a lot of brush to clear with this new brush cutter and when we're done we'll take it to the garden and see if it will take down corn stalks for our fall decorations. Let's get started.

    I stand by this attachment been using for a couple of years now. Its worth it. Once you get the bulk down it's easy. I using in a swinging motion moving from top to bottom of the brush works fine. It does take a little muscle for thick brush. I love it.

    I bought this brushcutter today. It requires a 3-hour charge for 1-hour's use. I found the grip to be at a poor angle for me. It put my wrist at a continuous 45' angle, which was very uncomfortable over time. Advil followed the cutting. The tool works as it should, however. No argument there, but the grip at the trigger was all wrong. It should be more like a pistol grip instead of being like the handle of a tennis racket.

Do you think the Ryobi brush cutter attachment would be able to go through tree wood suckers that are 1" to 3.5" thick? Or do you think it would be better to get one of those "Forrester Brush Cutter Blades"? Thanks!

    What I don't understand is why they put the spring button in a place that competes with the wing nut. It makes removal less than ideal compared to the string trimmer which uses the hole on top of that wing nut assembly.

    I just bought the Ryobi 40v Expand It power head and brush cutter attachment; after unboxing I noticed in the brush cutter manual it says not to use the brush cutter on any electric power head, due to risk of personal injury or shock. Also, the power head manual says that the brush cutter shouldn't be used with it. They are both part of the Expand It system. I am super annoyed , I really need to get some work done. Did you notice that, or have any problems?

    • @BackyardMaine
      @BackyardMaine  2 года назад +1

      Hi Mark, Do you have the 120 cord connected power head? If so maybe the risk is cutting the cord. Mine is a battery power head and there is no issue. I would use it even with the corded unit but just be careful not to cut the cord.
