    I love reservations. I'm tracking over 140 of them right now covering nearly a thousand VM cores over 12 different regions and 75 subscriptions. My only gripe, is there's very little reporting available to show what I'm currently saving with my RIs. There is the Powe BI pro report, but that's very manual and time consuming to get figures from. I'm trying to write azure powershell scripts to calculate the figures, but just downloading the pricesheets keeps timing out! /Bangs head again desk

    • @amcadam26
      @amcadam26 2 года назад

      I need better reporting as my development team leads are asking for reports showing how much they're saving on their vms and SQL servers, so I have to keep using the poweBI report and it's killing me.

    Just done this recently for AKS VMs, saved a lot actually. It's weird though the costs no longer show up Cost Analysis, but also don't show in Reservations for some reason

    • @amcadam26
      @amcadam26 2 года назад +4

      You need to select "amortised" rather than "actual" in the cost analysis for reservation cost against resources to show.

    Hellooo, Could i combine reservations with an enterprise agreement?

    • @NTFAQGuy
      @NTFAQGuy  2 года назад +1

      You can buy them under EA yes. Discount would depend on terms of the EA

    Does Azure charge a separate fee for the windows vm os?, if yes, where is the cost

    • @NTFAQGuy
      @NTFAQGuy  2 года назад

      Yes it’s part of vm cost. Cost calculator shows this. I have a video on that

    • @jameseze9469
      @jameseze9469 2 года назад

      I just watched the video. But I still don't understand why the os price changes based on the selected VM.
