Rarely do I toot my own horn like that youtube title, but from all outside accounts, the BMX Day Jam here in SD was one for the books. 400+ riders, a police escort through the city, an insane level of riding, and some outrageous spot ideas turned into wild sessions. 2024 was definitely the best BMX Day Jam we've ever thrown and I'd love to see Don Of The Streets go off in October. Until then, enjoy the rowdiness...

I’ve put on a couple jams every year and I don’t always catch peoples names while filming. As someone who doesn’t always get everyone’s names I also appreciated this. This year I’m thinking about bringing a sign up sheet with name and IG so I can make sure I get everyone’s name with proper spelling and be able to send them raw clips.

This 31 minute video was 100x more entertaining than the entire X Games event. A double peg to 3 down those stairs put my jaw on the floor where an x games quad whip triple flip mc double dip left me yawning

I did a local bmx day in Boston about 8 years ago with just locals (I came down from Vermont). probably 20 of us and it is by far one of the best days of my life.

Anyway, I am compelled to make a point that everyone's feeling. Here goes. We all know this: there is Etnies "Forward," Little Devil [maybe both?], and Square One "Wide Awake Nightmare." Those are the ones. Nevertheless, whether it was the filming or the editing or the bangs-on-bangs, this BMX Day edit has established itself as an excellent blueprint for the future.
