The thing in the captain's quarters was an alarm they used if there was an iceberg or something infront of the ship (either that or its something used to turn the ship)
2:05 gilded kinda have the same meaning as golden what's the different golden mean it's all gold between gilded mean it's cover in gold and it had the center that's material isn't good
