28:02 “hopefully very soon, the next episode should be out in 24hrs…” 120hrs later I’m watching this for the 6th time because I love watching brilliant survive off of copium!
Him and Nakai both had that issue, its just that Nakai was Lizardmen and so he kinda just muddled through with little issue. Markus, and Huntsmen Generals as well, really need a buff. Ranged Generals kinda suck and they need some serious boosts in order to get them to be an actual choice.
Very sad turns of events, Markus was my favorite fraction for some time, until Yvresse came, I have some very good memories with Marcus. My second ever campaing in TWW2 was as him, I blindly jumped into his campaing and barely pull it of, but I enjoyed every agonasing turn. Gonna say he was more powerful back then but at the same threat system was much more paunishing to a point when on turn 10 could spawn late game lizard-things army in the middle of your land. (I even tried to make a mod to incorporate Marcus into Raikland at one point but I failed)
17:30 Since you got the peace treaty with them less than 5 turns ago, declaring war will give you the reliability penalty. The trespassing penalty only mentions breaking non-aggression pacts and trade agreements and doesn't impact the peace treaty penalty.
ohh good to know. i wish the game would just warn you when you're about to tank your reliability, before making that choice, by flashing your reliability or something.
@@Zonalar Yeah, honestly the whole reliability system could be communicated better. Like the player getting low reliability if they don't join a war with an ally when an enemy declares war on them.
@@Zonalar It does in a small note just above the confirm/propose button. A very small note telling you how long until you can. Look back in the video if you want.
The diplomacy thing at 17:10 says no penalty from breaking trade and non-aggression but reliability from truce breaking should still apply. Also regarding the 100% ambush chances, any hero from any faction except yours seeing the army takes it out of ambush stance. Finally, regarding the island battle, if in any battle there is no retreat button then if you lose you die.

Yo, great vid like always! For the lord that died in the ocean, I'm pretty sure the game treats that like it does an army that's already retreated once in a turn. It's not able to retreat again, so the game insta-kills it. It's also what happened to the lizardman army that you ambushed, and then it didn't retreat the next turn (because it couldn't!)
One thing of note that can make things easier is saving skill points on level ups. That way when you get access to a lord's unique skills you can immediately put point into them.
Short men buff bow! Arrow go zooomom! Double extra arrow! Stabby from afar! Yes-yes, normal man-thing thinky! Methinks build big arrow gear machine instead.
The Huntsman’s traits reminds me of something I’ve taken to doing with my LL’s that I can’t decide if it’s a good thing, or a bad thing. Though it does cause me mental strain from constantly having the notification of “You have unspent skill points.” (I F-KING KNOW!!!) Basically, when I hit level 5 or 6, HOWEVER many it takes, I don’t spend skill points until I can buy that lord’s entire unique skill line all in one fell swoop, because the only real limit is hitting level 10.
The barZerk! Love your work mate, always very fun footage and comms:) keep up the great work, and happy belated thanksgiving from Aussie land(we dont do thanksgiving... well, obviously matt!) 7:30 what the Dark Elves Lord did there was being stuck in your settlement's zone of control, but not feeling confident that he can hold it against your two armies vaguely nearby next turn, and for some reason not being interested in sacking it. but because be was stuck in ZoC, his only legal move was to attack the settlement, then retreat. then I guess he must have had very little movement left, and just positioned himself just far enough away from the settlement that the garrison would not be in reinforcement range of any battle you tried to initiate.
I have a sudden evil, EVIL idea for a “challenge” run that Brilliant Stupidity can do. The only requirements that I will put down (he can slap WHATEVER he wants onto the idea in addition. Arty only, cavalry only, etc) are that: 1: He has to play as Reikland. 2: Anytime the event pops up to send an army or mercenaries or whatever to help an Elector count, he MUST take the option of sending reinforcements. 3: during the resulting battle from that choice, the lord leading the army he controls MUST 💀. Not every unit, and NOT “he can flee or rout”,. The lord commanding that reinforcment army must be 💀 and gone. 4: MAYBE optional, maybe not, but he will also need to lose that battle AS A WHOLE. Again, with his commander 💀 but NOT with all or even most of that spawned in reinforcement army destroyed. Then, assuming BrilliantStupidity doesn’t know what the point of all those requirements are, I get to sit back and listen to him freak the hell out and shout “HOLY SHIT! *HOLY **_SHIT!!”_* when he sees the consequences of fulfilling those tasks, lol.
at like 7:32 the reason for the AI's behaviour is, that they were in the zone of control of the city after the battle, so they had to attack it and retreat to move again. they got into the zone of control through attacking your army and taking that position. And looks like he didn't want to siege there.
In all the times I have played Wolfheart, never once have I had a severity drop event. The mechanic just goes: win 5 battles, get attacked by a spawned enemy, get declared on by someone, repeat.
If you're waiting for reinforcements to win a battle like at 7:00, just hide your units in the forest, the enemy will waste time trying to search your army and potentially split their forces so the battle will be much easier.
I believe peace agreements are not the same as non-aggression pacts. If you declare war on a faction within 10 turns of making peace with them, your reliability tanks, no matter whether they were intruding or not.
Really living up to your name with that ambush eh homie? XD why did you not.. oh i dunnnoooooooo... deploy them at the escape point so theyd have to run headlong into your arrows to get out? XD love you dude but sooooooometiiiiiiimesssssss
I feel like this entire campaign is predicated on the fact he doesn't know if you put ranged units on guard the one's not actively in melee will keep shooting.

17:38 the problem is that trespassing means you can declare war without suffering if you break non aggression pacts or trade agreements You do not have a non aggression pact, you had a truce. Different thing
In most of these battles, range. Darkshards have exactly 5 range less than my basic archers, so checkerboarding would allow them to destroy us. The value judgement is questionable but I was hoping that killing their archers as quickly as possible would be more worthwhile than killing their high-durability low-dps melee infantry. Essentially forcing the one engagement where I can trade well rather than accepting one where I can't. Still not certain if it was the right move
I think you can decrease hostility by idling for some turns, but its not worth it, i just forced my way through those lizard armies by keeping one army near the nearest settlment i own to their spawn.
