The LibDems didn't form a coalition with labour because they didn't have enough seats. Labour won 258 + LibDems 57 = 315 overall when you need 326 for a majority. Them forming a coalition was Labour was never an option. Did the LibDems make mistakes during the coalition? Absolutely. But, if they are giving good policies, it is completely unfair to simply disregard them on the basis of one broken promise from 14 years ago. The LibDems did have achievements in government, and many of their current members and MPs come from after that period. Like all political parties, you don't have to believe everything they say or like their policies. But, it is extremely frustrating to constantly hear young left-wing pundits active during the tuition fee rises consistently say that they genuinely like all of the LibDem policies and then proceed to immediately dismiss them on the basis of a single mistake from 14 years ago.

I agree too. I'm frustrated that Novara and others are not willing to hear the Lib Dems out and give them a chance. I understand they were complicit in austerity and made some broken promises, but parties, their leaders and their values can change. Why not give Ed Davy and the Lib Dems a chance to proove they have changed? Do we want either Reform or the Conservatives to be opposition? I'm voting Lib Dems this election; great manifesto, good left-wing policy, good hard working MPs, and a very relatable and friendly leader.

Sunak keeps taking credit for the rate of inflation falling. When he made this pledge originally, many said it was an empty misleading one as it was outside of the government's control. No one appears to be challenging him on this. He denied his party were responsible for the rapid increase but takes credit for the decline. I accept there were global issues that raised inflation for many countries but the level it reached was down to Liz Truss. She blamed the Bank of England but no one wants to give them credit now

The problem with all of the BBC election 'debates' is every BBC journalist is rude and unprofessional, interrupting again and again, as though they themselves have the right to question when in fact it should be the audience. Every rude interruption, every journalist-perspective comment makes it almost impossible for the audience, including those trying to watch these, to understand what the candidate represents. Frankly, the BBC should recuse themselves as too incompetent to run the debates. Or else they should refund license fees since they are failing fee payers

I disagree with Michael about the libdems, they are playing this whole thing beautifully and yes, I suspect many to the left of this centrist iteration of Labour would very easily vote LibDem based on their left-of-labour positions on a number of issues. In my constituency it pivots between Cons and Libs, the only viable vote is for Libdems anyway in order to keep the Tories out... the fact they are emphasising their left-leaning policies makes voting for them less painful.
