Every electronic item we purchase could break in a few weeks, months or years. It you think that way. Purchase a cheap cell phone. An old vacuum tube TV if you can find one. I'll take the technology and enjoy it's features.

Was planning on ordering a 2024 ss but, the likely hood I’ll be able to get an allocation near the end of the cut off date is more then likely never gonna happen.
I would agree with you except that you're completely wrong. No double bubble, completely different setup for the events for air conditioning and heat. But yeah you're absolutely wrong to say that it's the same interior. You have to be absolutely ignorant to see something from the old one that isn't there anymore.

The general layout of the Inside looks similar with things moved around to work with the new screens which are all new. Ppl can have opinions... Woosah bro. The fox body and 2004 look like more like a body change 2004 and 2014 same The 2014 and 2015 same. 2022 and 2023 look like refresh at least to me its not a bad thing don't get offended.

The double bubble has been there forever in the fact that everything is changed except what you call the center console is pretty good and new. I have a 21 S550 GT with the 6 speed manual and 301a pkg. To me the all-digital dash is neat, but I definitely am used to the 8" screen in the middle. I don't think there is enough to make me want to upgrade. The only thing I wish I had was the 18-23 digital dash and I also prefer the screen down lower.
On a new car, the wheels are the quickest identifier to determine if the car has the performance package. The Performance Package is in option someone can add when they order the car. You can see what the package includes by going to Ford's website and building a Mustang. -Landan
The mode changes on the steering wheel and one touch cruise are a great addition. How quick are you able to change exhaust modes? One thing I wish ford would have done with the active exhaust cars is add a toggle to switch exhaust modes.
There is a toggle below the second screen to change the exhaust mode on the fly. If you have it set in race mode, you can tap a button and go to quiet instantly. Press it again to open it back up to the mode you were just in.

Hey LMR I recently got a 2022 S550 convertible with the 10R80 and 3.15 gears. If I do the basic mods with those gears, I should have a strong top end pull and decent gas mileage correct?
The back quarters look a lot like the 69-70, My 71 Mustang even has a similar look just not as pronounced. Looks to me they went back and looked at the old cars when they were designing the rear quarters. I love it waiting to see a vapor blue in person before I order one, some photos look awesome some I don't like, if not I will order a white one with a manual trans and 3.73.
My favorite non-shelby GT is the 2015-17 GT with no radar cruise. The 2018-23 has a horrible front end. I’ll take the S650 front end over the 18-23 any day of the week. I had 2010 and 2017 GTs and sold them ( got married and have 2 kids) but one day I will own them again. I probably won’t come back to a new mustang unless they go back to retro design.
Don't forget to add a performance tune! 😂 Just picking with ya, beautiful new GT The more I see them , the more I dig it. Can't wait to see what you guys do with her.
Any tips for breaking in the S650 on a longer road trip? I was planning on breaking mine in easy, but I'm going on an 8 hour round-trip in October, and might not be able to hit 1k miles before then. Hopefully I'll be able to get at least 500 miles in it, but that all depends on if the car comes in sometime in the next couple weeks. I got an automatic GT Premium with the performance pack.
My favorite color. The first car I bought was that color (1977 4x4 truck). 3:15 rear gear? That's granny territory. I assume that is on the list of "upgrades".
This is the only thing mentioned in the manual about a break-in: "Your vehicle requires a break-in period. For the first 1,000 mi (1,600 km), avoid driving at high speeds, heavy braking, aggressive shifting or using your vehicle to tow. During this time, your vehicle may exhibit some unusual driving characteristics." At the end of the day, who knows. After we put some miles on our car, it did "feel" different, but that could my mind playing tricks on me. -Landan

There are some things that are missing from the Fox Body display. No, it's not identical (or else the engine would overheat when you turn on the headlights or the bouncy needle feature lol) but it is a very good representation of the Fox Body. It's a great feature that we love to use!
And how much is it ? Real world prices, and is there a dealership “price adjustment “ ? I’m guessing sticker somewhere in the 45k range. I’m wondering what the markup will be. 50% ? So, any guesses ?
most dealers are 0 markup, his model is every bit of 55k+ with the packages he chose, base gt level is 44k, his is a premium, has active exhaust, 401a, so probably at least 55k

Last year, was looking at the Maverick, again, a 10k dealer adjustment. So, no Maverick for me. If you want to pay the markup, feel free. I would rather not.

Just keep the "spirited" driving to a minimum. Don't hit redline all the time and you'll be okay!
