I loved Amy Grant way back in the 80’s when I was a teen in my southern Baptist church’s youth group. She was “canceled” way back then once for going topless on a nude beach in France I believe. It was ridiculous the uproar. That was a huge breaking moment for me b/c I had already seen a few things that made me question my church leaders. Then when she left her then husband Gary Chapman for Vince Gill she was totally dismissed by a huge portion of “christians” & she stopped making CCM altogether. I LOVE THIS for her & Vince! Good for them for loving their family!!

Oh brother 🤦🏼♀️ I’m Mormon/LDS and although we believe gay marriage is a sin, we don’t believe same sex attraction is a sin, I personally do, but the church doesn’t but I also know it’s natural to feel that way because the body can’t help what it feels. My cousin is gay and he embraces it but he struggled with his Christian faith for years. He’s non denominational. However, that being said, although as Mormons we don’t approve of same sex unions, we do believe they have a right to marry and YES gay people are SAVED! Why? Because only the GRACE of Jesus Christ saves us! NOT faith, NOT works. GRACE ALONE. It is up to GOD HIMSELF WHO is SAVED NOT humans. We believe gay people who don’t repent of sin, but follow Jesus Christ go to the second kingdom of heaven which is the glory of the moon mentioned in the Bible. Basic Christianity denies this and sends gay people to hell. As a Mormon, it breaks my heart Amy is being attacked in this manner because I used to be homophobic and after I met a bisexual Mormon my perspective changed after meeting her. I want so badly to mend things with my gay cousin but he wants nothing to do with me regardless of his sisters best efforts to have him forgive me for my past prejudice. I hope someday that changes but hopefully Amy will get past this soon. It’s very sad she’s being judged in this manner.
