This was one of your best and most interesting videos. Being Mennonite and originally from Lancaster County Pennsylvania, I do make most of those recipes. Granola is a mainstay. The pasta salad I have made for about 20 years. Probably my favorite. Miller is off the chart intelligent. He is thinking all of the time. What a delight all of your children are. The ranch pretzels are absolutely amazing! I made them once, from your recipe. My family ate 3/4 of the batch in under two hours! They’re delicious right out of the oven when they’re so warm, too!
Miller pulling up the chair, getting on it and realizing he’s not close enough, is so so cute! Then he picks up a bowl, and finds it empty. Love his wanting to be involved, too.
just a hint, the egg ring takes a lot of oil or spray each time and it needs to cook 95% of the time before turning, I fix myself a toasted muffin with egg and cheese every morning but the ring I use is silicone. Loved seeing Miller laughing!
I just found your channel, I have been looking for new camping recipes. I'm so excited! I made your dill pretzels today, amazing!! My kids loved them. I can't wait to make them more for gathering and camping trips!

I know this is a late comment, but I just got a chance to try your yogurt and whip cream method and oh my goodness it's so good! It may be my new favorite desert! I did use Probiotic Greek yogurt to keep it a little on the healthier side... Thank you for sharing it!!

I enjoyed watching through these recipes. Something my friends and I like to do with dates is to stuff them with goat cheese and wrap them in bacon and cook in the oven. You can drizzle them with balsamic or brown sugar. Absolutely delicious! When my friend lived in LA she found a restaurant that made these and they were divine!! Now we’ve tried recreating them☺️
I loved this video. Millers laughing was so enjoyable. He’s getting close to the age of my Sunday school class. I teach 2 & 3 year olds and love it. I’ve been wanting to make Whoopie pies and I have a couple of places to take them so I may try it.
I don’t know if cabin/camping weekends like this are just a Mennonite thing, but we used to do family weekends away just like this when I was growing up and now it’s a rarity and I miss it.
Megan, you were literally a few miles from me! We would hike the trails up on the mountain and look down at the creek and one time they had horses pulling covered wagons that people could ride on and one of the wagons started going off the edge of the bank. I don’t know if the horses were spooked or what. We’ve been at the lookout plenty of times. My husband and I actually had our first date hiking one of those mountains. 😊 Unfortunately, he passed away 3 years ago. 😞 There are so many mountain roads all over up there. We’d sometimes end up at Cedar Run to get ice cream. Lots of memories.

I love your camping videos! Wish we could do that with family. My daughter and her husband are the only ones that would camp like that. My two sons like tent camping at a state park which is fine but there’s not much to do for young kids and my two daughter in law’s hate camping. We went Thursday to New Holland and bought pretzels and donuts off the September Farms truck and they were delicious!!!

Yummy content. I've made similar monster cookies and frig pickles for years. Have you ever used the monster cookies as ice cream sandwiches or used other fresh veggies with your frig pickle syrup? Another camping favorite around here, besides camp pies, has been packet meals using foil.

I'm in Brazil.. and maybe used to our culture of having a maximum of 3 children, I was a little scared... you have children of all ages!!! are there 5 in total? being here would be very criticized in society for having more than 4 children, so I adore you as a woman because it is not easy when everyone is at school even more so at different times, it will be a hell of a rush .... anyway, your house is beautiful and you very brave, that is a quality of few. They have 3 children. I would say most people in the US have fewer children, but many more conservative religious families have big families, 4 or more.

We use a sun tea glass gallon container with a spigot and put 2 c of ground coffee in a 6" x 8" cold brew coffee filter bag (Amazon) to soak overnight in the container. (delicious) We pour half of cold brew in our glass with ice; fill the remaining space with water/cream/syrup, etc. You got me going on this cold brew coffee! :) So refreshing on a hot day! Your brown sugar/ vanilla simple syrup please
Dissolve 1 cyp brown sugar in 1 cup boiling water. Remove from heat. Add a tablespoon of good quality vanilla. You could do coconut or peppermint too!
