i think being religious and having a scientific temperament are not interconnected. Religion tradition are necessary for a society to function finest example is ISRO scientists are pretty religious . Keeping religion and scientific temperament different is the duty of the teacher.

Nope. Being religious or religion isn't important for functioning of society. India as a country is working because of constitution, the law and democracy and not because of religion. ISRO have engineers not scientists. It's engineers oriented institution not science oriented. How many ISRO scientists have researched about the origin of universe? None. Most accepted it's god who created this. This is where physics dies...
