Like you said Paul, most people eating meat for one aren't eating steaks. Secondly, they're eating potatoes, fries, and other starchy foods with it if they are. 3rdly, most people that report eating more meat are eating luncheon meats, hot dogs, hamburgers, and fried chicken (in freaking canola oil 🤯🤯🤯). All of these factors matter SO much. It's pathetic. No comparison to a carnivore or a strict, non-dirty ketogenic style diet!
Also, the profit margins for companies using vegetable oils instead of lard or butter are enormous. They dont want people to switch back to healthy fats!
They want long shelf life packaged shit in the large chains where the average person shops, you now have these fake meats getting more and more press and they have a new marketing strategy for it... Environmentally friendly, and cruelty free. Quite ingenious really, these big corps certainly have their fingers on the pulse.
@@nunayafb I don't think it sounds anti-capitalist at all, just exposing how capitalism, like anything else can be corrupted or used to push an ideology or other shit like big pharma for example. Thank you so much Dr. Saladino for uploading this short clip which perfectly summarizes the problem with nutritional epidemiology. I have watched dozens of videos from people like Dr. Zoe Harcombe, Dr. David Diamond, Dr. Georgia Ede, Dr. Timothy Noakes, Gary Taubes, etc where they illustrate the problem of nutritional epidemiology. When I get confronted by people who have a misgiving about my low carb or now the carnivore diet, their worry about the safety of such a diet is invariably based on nutritional epidemiology. When I point them to these hour long lectures it generally falls on deaf ears. Most people don't have the time, inclination, or quite frankly, the attention span to sit through these presentations. That is why it is nice to have these succinct videos which explain such concepts to the lay public, who have been duped into believing that nutritional epidemiology is ironclad "proof" of a hypothesis. If I could reformulate our K thru 12 science curriculum, one thing I would add as an essential science requirement is that everyone graduating from high school know the difference between epidemiology and an interventional trial, as well as know the flaws and limitations of each. If every citizen where knowledgeable enough to know to ask, when confronted with the latest sensational study demonizing meat (or anything else for that matter), whether this is an epidemiological study or interventional study I don't think people would be as confused about nutrition as they are today. Furthermore, they would be less susceptible to propaganda, whether it is in the realm of nutrition or anything else.
Its time to call a spade a spade, vegetarians are richer than average and rich people always do better healthwise. I've only found 3 studies ever that corrected for this and they all showed vegetarians were less healthy.
How do they remember how much meat they eat in 10 years. The problem is that these people have ate all kinds of processed foods and junk food. Grains, carbs and sugar. Don’t we all wish our parents knew this. If so most of them would not have fed this to us.

the problems with epedimiological studies in nutirtion also highlights the problem with statistical analysis of things like race and sexism. Its the same sort of flawed science used to prove a point that ican't be proven based on the statistics cited. For example the idea that blacks are overepresnted in the prison population (compared the population of blacks in society general) means that society is racist. Its the same problem. Causality does not equal causation. And we realize that so much of what we think we know, even down to climate change science is based on epidimiological stuides where they assume causation based on causality.
