Some say he managed to tour the entirety of Singapore with just $50 and funnily enough, got approached by 3 otters during his time there. All we know is he is not the Stig, but the Stig's Singaporean cousin; Luge Stig. Awesome video folks🫰🏻
Everyone says tourists don't have to spend more than 3 or 4 days to cover SG.They say that's more than enough, not much to explore. Do you agree with those statements? You returned to SG to explore more deeply on this Concrete Jungle that has many things to offer and finding more hidden gems. Some of them just don't bothered to spend their times beside the usual known sightseeing places in SG.Yes, SG is small but we can sail out to SG islands, kayaking along the swamp and many more. It's not boring as some say.
My husband & I are enjoying your channel so much! You both make wonderful, fun to watch videos with so much good information. 😊 This was so helpful with how much everything is. Look forward to catching up on so many of your videos 🎉
Fort Siloso is my #1 favourite place to be at whenever I do make a trip over to Sentosa Island.. there's just something about that place that resonates deep within me & no matter how many times I've been there, I can never stop going back.
You guys definitely deserve a lot of credit for what you do! I enjoy watching your videos. They are informative and are not too intense. You managed to share your travel experiences with a laid-back, feel good approach. Definitely a thumbs up!👍
I was there for two days on a staycation. I just hop on the free shuttle buses that go around the island. Went to a couple of beaches. Walked across the chained bridge to the little island. Visited a couple of boutique hotels. One hotel gave out free mini ice cream cone. Excluding meals, you can actually walk around without spending a dime. Previously I have already visited the fort siloso too
At 11:02, near the foliage at the back of the cable car station, there is a walking trail called Imbiah trail that takes you through some nature. At the top of the climb is Fort Imbiah and there are some nice spots along the trail both man made and natural to appreciate.
Maybe next time can purchase some water and snacks at the supermarket before going to Sentosa. Can eat at Habourfront market before heading to Sentosa too. It really help to save a lot :)
Next place to visit could be the Singapore Zoological Garden. There are 3 gardens there side by side, including the Night Safari and the bird Paradise.
Hi Bill n Heather. Luv watching the both of u having fun in SG. U guys make such a delightful twosome! Please come back n visit us again. Best wishes from SG.
Have your meal at Seah Im Hawker Center before heading in to Sentosa. Then you can just walk in for free or take the sentosa express from vivo city level 3 for $4.
Silo fort served as a reminder on how the British thought that the Japanese would attack from the sea. Japanese travel through Thailand and Malaya on bicycles.
Yep, the invading Japs rode their tyre-less bikes on British made roads. Mass riding on the rims of their bikes generated a sound of impending doom. Psychological advantage...my dad ran a marginal mine. I found some bullet shells. There must have been an engagement here.
Little fun fact on the Fort, Its was built by the British to defend Singapore against the Japanese invasion which they thought will be coming from the sea. Thus all the canons were facing south of the island. However..... they came from the North pass Thailand and Malaysia into Singapore. Thus not a single shot was fired from the canons.
There are a few waterparks in different parks of Singapore too! Love the few vlogs that you guys went to the various offshore islands to explore the different side of SG, & the Henderson Waves, Sungei Buloh Nature Reserve! I think next on the agenda list if you come SG again, will be to explore more of the historical sites of SG, e.g. Labrador Park. Also, there are some farms in SG which you can go to. 😊
Hi Heather & Bill!! im a local Singaporean, there's 2 more beach in Sentosa that is less crowded & has more amazing views! Palawan & Tanjung Beach! Palawan would have been a great beach for the sunset but im glad you both had an amazing time there nevertheless! 🤍
when u up high on the skyhelix, treasure the view of the city and the port and the sea. in another 10 to 20years, the port cranes will be gone soon and the sea will be reclaimed. i will missed it...
Amazing and I'am quite shocked knowing that Americans today can really consume something that is so so spicy salute! moral of the story you've got me drooling 🤤
Hi I would say to give yourself about 35 to 45 mins for the walk from harbourfront mrt to vivocity, across the boardwalk over the waters to finally sentosa.
By the way 9 Aug is our national day. You could catch aerial military shows and fireworks at the marina bay area. All happening in the evening like 5 plus to 8 plus. It is going to be crowded.
If you do come back to SG, I recommend Udders rum & raisin ice cream. They use a good amount of real rum in the ice cream and probably one of my favourite versions of this flavour. They are a local artisan brand and have a few parlours in SG but you may be able to buy small tubs in some super markets or convenience stores.
@@TalesFromOurPocketthey are everywhere but they are elusive! Bishan Park has a river that's quite famous for otter-watching. The best time to catch them is around 6-8am in the morning. You can try contacting some otter watch community groups in Singapore like ottercity. They wake up really early to try to spot and photograph them.

Officially our favorite viewer!! ❤️❤️
I love that you found the budget hack of just walking in to the first monorail station on Sentosa. As a local, there's no other way I'd do it.

Really love watching your videos of Singapore, especially those that are off the beaten tracks. I learnt so much about Sentosa than I have ever.

Should have eaten or buy the food from vivo city. Encik tan and ntuc ard 5bucks.
Sentosa was a pirate island until the British came, it's original name was known as "Pulau Blakang Mati" which in Malay means the "Island of Death".
If you are currently in Sentosa, you will most probably bump into Taylor Swift who is rumored to be in one of the hotels (Capella maybe).
Yes she is in that hotel. But quite unlikely to bump into her as her bodyguard will shield her.. like using umbrellas

Love your Vlogs. We are flying into Singapore on Aug 9th and staying 6 nights. How long was the walk from Habour Front Station to Universal Studio?
6 nights, woohoo! Hope you've found some fun things to do. We think it took around 15 minutes to do that walk? Maybe slightly more. Enjoy!!
Idk if they stopped operating the travelators to make People spent 4bucks on the ride or what. Was a better experience when it's operating tho.

really enjoyed all the budget tips here! had no idea there was a luge on Sentosa. thanks future heather and bill!
@LisaAndJosh we'd genuinely recommend the luge! It was so different and fun. Thank you for not saying OLD Heather and Bill, hahaha
Another great video..
The big spider is called a Golden Orb Weaver
Some parts of Resort World Sentosa are going to demolish and make way for new attraction.
did you buy all the tickets online or in person?
We bought them online! Link in the description. 😊
Water came out dripping... looks like the filter is clog up..high time to change a new one 🧐💦
U have no luck with wild otters.😅
😭😅

Ayam Penyet= Smashed fried Chicken. Originally the chicken should be smashed.
To be frank not a lot of Singaporean young people are interested in history, they are more interested in Korean stars and Taylor Swift
👍
👍👍👍👍👍
Char Siew is pork
In my younger days going to sentosa only can go by a ferry 😄
Or cable car.
