Release date: TBD 2024/2025 (US)
Set in 1956, Amir leaves his home country of Morocco out of financial necessity. He’s sent to Pas-de-Calais to work in the worst mine in France, known as the Devil’s Island. Shortly after his orientation, he’s assigned to a group that has been ordered to accompany a professor under the pretense of collecting samples.
But once they’re down in the deep dark, it quickly becomes clear that the professor has another agenda and that he’s looking for something quite different. When the miners blow up a gallery to access an older mine that had been condemned a century earlier, they uncover a secret chamber filled with traces of an ancient civilization. As the miners realize that the discovery will result in the mine’s closure, greed leads them to do the unthinkable, thus dooming the entire expedition.

Mining Horror should be it's own genre
it's not?
there are at least eight movies like this
@@delphinazizumbo8674 Agreed, There's some goldies if you include Spelunking/Caving but seems they are rarer than most other settings.
French mining horror, a sub genre. 😎
"There's something asleep in the basement. Let's see if TNT will wake it up." --This guy, and Yosemite Sam.
Creature Feature…I could definitely do this one!
Kinda Lovecraftian monster movie? Okay. I'm in.
Came here to post this.
absolutely nothing to do with lovecraft
@@curtisnewton895 "During an exposition scene by Professor Berthier, Turi establishes a Lovecraftian mythology for the central creature of Mok'Nor Roth, as one of nine beings in servitude to the Great Old One, Cthulu."
The film is Lovecraft inspired, also known as Lovecraftian horror.
@@curtisnewton895
As a fan of Lovecraft, I don't like the term "Lovecraftian" being used as a broad synonym for "cosmic horror" any more than you do. Personally, I think it should apply ONLY to works he penned or contributed to, like _At The Mountains of Madness_ or _Through the Gates of the Silver Key,_ itself co-written by E. Hoffmann Price. They stories come from Lovecraft and are, thus, "Lovecraftian". That doesn't matter however, since it's been conflated with Cosmic Horror in general. This story does indeed have nothing to do with Lovecraft but, it was inspired by the themes he pioneered and perfected so he is credited regardless.
It just is what it is, Mr. Newton; accepting the reality of human nature will enable you to better live in this world than raging against it.
Monster movies are always the best horror subgenre!
Reminds me of the bat In Lifeforce, and that creepy body in The Empty Man, I want to watch this!

HON HON HON
jeepers creeper´s brother
The Mummy...in french
Dwarf Fortress but French
My guess is this is an angel.
It has 6 arms its not an angel
Ugh, french.
What’s the deal with all these foreign movies? I really thought we were in America where we speak English? If I wanted to read then I’d grab a book. I waste my time reading and miss a lot of parts of the movie because of it. I really wish they would stop that…
You think French filmmakers should... not make movies in French...? And you think Americans should only be exposed to American things...? You must be super awesome to be around.
@@Ligght4647 French filmmakers should be in France. And you live in your own little world because it was my thoughts. You’re definitely white because of your mentality. A woke individual I’m sure. Just cause you don’t like what I say don’t mean I have to agree to your ideals. Put a thumbs down and scram little kid…😂😂😂😂
Quelqu'un aurait dû faire un peu plus attention en achetant son ticket
@@thorn.fieldnsta what the…okay, let’s change that up and see how it feels. Estas pendejo ó que? Aquí hablamos inglés.

Awesome! Looks like they are gonna rely heavily on practical effects. Love it when creature films do that. Too many cartoon monsters running around these days.
