That was a gold callout and a silver reaction time with the opponent oblivious to cam, I’d say typical gold timing on his bitchazz part and I guarantee he wasn’t lookin at head level. I like how Macie displays his awareness of the kill hungry meta destroying ranked throughout this video. Nobody plays to win in certain 4v1s or if they are, they play too aggressive and let the 1 person win when all you need to do is keep position and not push unless you’re droned outside of site

Honestly the "free to play" style of Ranked 2.0 is what did it. They made ranked about HOURS, not wins. It's so garbage. All you have to do is grind until you're content, so no one cares about each individual match anymore. It's about quantity of quality now.

A successor to siege that places a lot less emphasis on aiming skills by introducing more thoughtful mechanics like stamina or suppression would be my preference. Obviously aim will always be important in any shooter, but in games like Project Reality/Squad/Arma there are mechanics which reward players who think themselves into better positions and give them the edge. You can be great at those games with middling aim, as long as you play smart and play the objective. The objective in Siege currently feels like an optional win condition, not the focus of the game.
Yes macie.. ranked IS bad. Console, pc, champ, or copper it literally don’t matter. The game isn’t being played how it’s suppose to and it’s ruining it. But let’s buy that new season pass though 🙃

They basically do everything within their might to win! Yet, if i watch Macie in pc champ lobbies: everyone runs out, no one has any discipline, no one knows how to peak or hold an angle and rounds are thrown regularly… please explain this dude! I've started to play again after a 3 years stop. I used to be gold 1 and never managed to get higher rank bc playing against plats and diamonds was too difficult. After 3 years, i noticed that the average level was way lower than it used to be. I dunno why, but people are just running and gunning, dont communicate, dont ping, dont drone, dont anything. When i'm 1 vs 4 nobody is on camera to ping or whatever. And when i'm just using my drones or cameras and I manage to win, my team is like "gg dude" , "wp" where instead of praizing me should have been helping me. I just feel like nobody cares anymore about playing the objective lol

They just flick around corners on max sens and don't try to actually learn the game. It's hard to appreciate the chess-level strats in this game when so many people play it like it's checkers.

I think what siege might have done is made ranked much easier so people would be able to achieve higher ranks and to help boost people’s gaming opinion of themselves so more players would be able to talk to other people (previous players of siege or newcomers to gaming) about their new champion rank. Which for most was never 'doable'. I believe this game was experiencing dramatic decrease in popularity which impacted direct sales made from the game, merchandise, and other things, possibly. They wanted to entice gamers into reinstalling, buying and playing more by allowing a massive decrease in the difficulty of what is supposed to be a challenging game mode which had and should have great chances of being highly competitive.
The game's evolved to "play long enough and you too can be champ no skilled required". Versus me who can only play maybe 30 or so games a season because of my schedule and can only ever rise to high gold/low gold. Used to be able to get to platinum fairly consistently.

Just want to say I support your opinion on twitter, I agree with that there are plenty of players who just copy the pro league’s setup without any sense. Many players don’t have the ability to play as a pro. They just copy those site setup, don’t even know the reason.
I know Macie probably makes more money as a streamer/youtuber while working less hours with lower stress...but man I would love to see him play proleague for a year so he can actually play the game the way it's meant to be played.
I think a good buff for thorn should be when you shoot her gadget it doesn't get destroyed but instead sets it off so it can still potentially slow down a push.

Ranked is like this because Ubi pandered to those that wanted an easier ranking system. Well, we got it and now people in ranked (and most of the game) don't actually know how to play and that there's supposed to be a strat to this game.
I think hitting champ, the arrogance creates this toxic confidence that they assume they can outgun anybody. which is why they run in no plan and get 4 of them killed by one defender with a tiny bit of utility helping, cause thats how important the utility is
