Hey Bizmatic I really enjoy you getting to know and love the music I grew up on. John Bonham was a drum god. To prove my statement: All you have to do a review of Moby Dick Live.. It's basically a song for Bonham to showcase his talents... You won't be disappointed!!!
I would love to see you do a full album listening review with us. I love how in this, and a lot of their songs, it sounds like the guitar is talking to you; every time it changes tone and tempo, it feels like a conversation. Sometimes Jimmy would do a "call and response" with Robert where the guitar would play a tone, then Robert would copy it. John Paul Jones was the Swiss army knife of the group; bassist, keyboardist, mandolin, musical arranger and along with Bonzo, created an unparalleled rhythm section. 4 Master Musicians.
I would love for you to do a live and revisit the album's. It's nice to feel like I am sharing with a friend. The backstory on the instrumentals at the castle is fascinating. Thank you again for another great session.
they are all great at what they do but JPJ is their secret weapon. the further you delve into their catalogue you'll get it! once you get to "No Quarter" i believe you'll understand.
I wouldn't say JPJ was a "secret." He was one of the most highly sought UK studio musicians of his time. But to say he was undeservedly overshadowed of Page, Plant and Bonham is accurate.
Led Zeppelin were fans of the blues and took inspiration from them, they interpreted them in their own style which created many of the early songs in their catalog. One album at a time in order song by song please...
Just watching you enjoy the music beats any kind of review. Your reaction with the stank faces and the looks of your enjoyment as well as your reviews about their musicianship as you have been doing already are great. Who cares about finding the meaning of a song?
Take a break, a quick fun diversion from all the heavies you’ve been playing. A smile guaranteed with 🎵” Amos Moses”.🎶 by Jerry Reed. Just 3 minutes of yer time. God bless.
Shame!! SHAME!! On You!! I gave you a Thumbs up, ONLY Because you didn't Pause again!! But when you DID!! It was when Jimmy Started his Guitar 🎸 Solo!! SHAME!!!👎
Jimmys guitar talking back to Plant,,,,like a woman. 🔥🔥🔥😎

Nice reaction. Back in the 1970's, Led Zeppelin was one of the main bands on my 'getting psyched to play sports' cassette.
That song is 52 years old.
Hard to believe!
It just keeps getting better!

John Paul Jones is a Genius. He wrote a lot of the songs composition wise. Everyone in the band was/is very Gifted. RIP Bonzo.

Can't wait until you start with Zep II
Just great music. Timeless legends. Yes , Bonzo had heavy hands and feet.
Bonzos foot told me that this was my favorite Zep song.
John Bonham's drums just crush on this. Drummer's had never been mixed equally before this
