Beautiful song by Randy Newman.Nic Jones singing after many years absence due to a bad car crash,Good to see you back Nic.always one of my favourite folk singers. I think maybe a little choked up at the end and why not, so moving.

Wonderful to be there that evening to hear Nic Jones; I saw him sing at Cecil Sharp House 40 years ago in 1972 with other regulars from the Castle Folk Club Brentwood. The years rolled back, and there he was as magical, inspiring and moving as ever. Thank you so much.

Sometimes 'guy next door' you need to put things in context. Just being able to stand and sing is a blessing after his accident many years ago. Not perfect but sung with real emotion connect

Wow. I didn't actually think it was possible to butcher that song. I was wrong. When it started, I was sure I would love it. Not so much.

So Guy Next Door.. Do you know the context here regarding Nic Jones, his history, and how long many have waited to hear him? If not then go fuck yourself you fucking moron.

You are so right. I don't know the context or history. Because all of that would matter. It would sound soo much better if I knew or cared. That would be sarcasm Einstein, lol!

Look up a song of Nic Jones on here called Ruins by the Shore, live at Warwick festival and then read the lyrics...

O.k., I looked it up, listened, and read the lyrics. Wow! And I say that with no sarcasm. I can honestly say if I had heard that song first, I might have felt differently about this one. Thanks for putting me on to Ruins. Now I will be looking in to more of Nic Jones.
