    Freddie could be a total smartass in interviews. In one he's asked if he has any hobbies. He says, "Yes, I have a lot of sex." Long silence from interviewer before Freddie says something like "try and get out of that one."

      He was funny especially when he’d cut his eyes. He was wearing his famous brown leather jacket. But he’d tell people he didn’t like doing interviews. That’s why there’s not that many of them.

    I think my favorite moment is when the penguin has its mishap and Freddie quips "Roger! What did you do?!" What a witty man he was.
    Thanks for the warmth & respect you show Freddie & Queen and by extension their fans, and your viewers.

    Freddie is immortal now. As the Queen fans who were young (like my Dad) when Queen was big pass down their love of the music to their children, and their children pass it on to the younger ones...if I ever have kids from a young age they will hear the magic of Queen. And so Freddie, and Brian, and Roger, and John will become immortal, and as long as their music lives on they will never really die.

    I think Freddie is still so loved and appreciated because he was not only a great artist and musician, but a thoroughly cool guy. When I watch his interviews, he strikes me as a very intelligent, funny and sensitive guy. Someone you would go for a cup of coffee with...or tea, as Freddie wasn't much of a coffee person. You can't say that about many musicians. For example, I truly respect MJ and I love his music too, he had charisma as well...but can't beat Freddie, sorry.

    • @teresadutson3121
      @teresadutson3121 5 лет назад +2

      I agree Freddy was the kind of guy,it seemed, that he was down to earth and he loved what he did and there was nothing else that he wanted to do. He knew that millions of people around the world loved him but he didn't act like his shit didn't stink. He didn't act like a spoiled diva brat like most rock stars did and like any performer does today. I mean seriously even the artists who have just a small portion of success get an attitude of, well I'm so and so and you can't come near me and you can't talk to me and I need security, I need a $10,000 room and everything needs to be comped and the best. You need to stay back 20 ft at least. It just makes me sick, but Freddie looked like he would stand there and talk to you if he saw you on the street and you recognized him(like who wouldn't) and shake your hand and have a good laugh.

      There are actually I think now two or three funny Freddie moments and they are all hysterical. They would make a really good video to react to it really gives you an insight to Freddie off the stage. His on stage Persona was so different than who he really was and you see that in the funny Freddie moments. He was a joker he really was someone who wanted to make people laugh and smile and he was always pulling someone's leg or something else hahaha he was too much he was just too much sometimes but always always in good fun

    Great reaction. this was just a tribute video of behind the scenes interviews and clips someone made in honor of Freddie's birthday. but priceless nevertheless. in case your wondering, it wasn't till 1975 when they went on tour in Japan that they were truly acknowledged as and given the genuine rockstar royalty treatment, meaning throngs of screaming fans when they arrived and were lavished with love and gifts. it really overwhelmed and moved them, almost to tears.

    Freddie X Barcelona would be great, it was Freddie's personal passion and a performance he was so proud of to sing alongside Montserrat his operatic idol. The admiration between both of them is so real, both recognising each other as artists even though coming from completely different musical backgrounds.
    Barcelona was written by Freddie for the Barcelona Olympics, it was meant to be sung live but he died the year before and Montserrat wouldn't sing it without him so they used a recording instead.

    • @teresadutson3121
      @teresadutson3121 5 лет назад +5

      It was his lifelong dream to perform with an opera star to perform an opera so when he did write Barcelona performed with her he was over the moon. It played for the Olympics in Barcelona and it was huge. It fulfilled a lifelong dream of Freddie's. And I'm not even going to try to type her name cuz I will probably misspelled it horribly, she was so impressed with Freddie. He wrote this when he brought it to her he sang her part to her so she knew exactly what he wanted and she was just amazed at his talent and she said that she was so impressed how he could go in and out of different octaves so fluidly and he could color every word just perfectly so that it was just expressed perfectly. She was very very taken with Freddie's Talent and with Freddie. She passed away I believe a year or two ago and it was a huge loss to the Opera community

She said in the interview that they sang together until 6am the next day and people were looking at her quizzically as to why she was coming out of Freddie's hotel room at 6am wearing the same clothes from the day before. I really enjoyed this video. Something's going on with my computer I wrote the comment and then it disappeared into ethernet. Freddie definitely lived every single day like it was the last. Freddy often said and he knew this before he was sick before he was with Queen when he was preteen he just knew he was not going to live to be an old man and he really didn't want to either. So I guess that's why he pretty much lived every day like it was his last day on Earth. He was one of the most comical people ever. I like to watch the videos where he doesn't know somebody's filming him or there just off goofing off somewhere because he always says that I'm not that person on stage I'm not that arrogant confident person when I'm off stage I'm rather boring and ordinary and in a way I guess it's kind of true because he's not that hold air again I'm Freddie Mercury's Superstar rock and roll boring though never he he has no filter between his brain and his mouth so everything he reacts to who it just goes out and he doesn't care her and he can be so damn funny and he has no off switch so he just reacts to everything and he kind of reminds me of a kid who has like ADHD you know he's just on all the time it's just you could see how much he enjoyed life and how much he enjoyed laughing and making people smile and having a good time. And to answer your other question in another video you asked if the story about him breaking the mic and that's why he always used to have Mike if that story was true. And doesn't matter of fact that is a true story I believe it was their first show one of their first shows Freddie broke the mic and the guy the Roadie was going to come up and give him another one and he just was like fuck it and used it the whole night that way and just adapted it he apparently liked it like that and it became one of his signatures I mean that's like so insane like something that should be frustrating and you know piss you off like here's one of your very first shows and the damn Mike breaks and you're messing with it and you're just like screw it on with the show with the half a mic and then that becomes your signature everybody knows you by that have a mic you you know yes people who's the singer who uses a half of Mike everybody knows it becomes like in out nothing sometimes the truth is Stranger Than Fiction

    I love Freddie, because he did what he wanted to do and it’s was like he was saying “ take me the way I same or don’t,I don’t care”. Plus he spoke what was on his mind and that what I think Rihanna do. You’re right this man worked on till he couldn’t no more (I love that)

      @@CBGB_1977 he was very angry because of the questions the reporter asked him. You can see the interview in youtube if you search "Freddie Mercury musical prostitute". At one point He asked him about his work and he said: I love my job, but I hate talking to people like you

    I say this all the time Freddie Mercury is the Mozart of our time. Just like in the movie Amadeus, when Salieri says as Mozart’s music continues to play on and grow in strength, mine fades into obscurity.

    If you were wondering the songs in the video were My melancholy blues, Don’t stop me now and Made in heaven. I know you already reacted to Don’t stop me now but I highly recommend the other two. My melancholy blues was fully written by Freddie and only features soft drums and piano. It also successfully bring Queen into the blues genre. Made in heaven was made for Freddie’s solo album but after he died the other Queen members reworked it into a Queen song. Both versions are absolutely beautiful and is one of the best things to come from that solo career

    Hey, TMF, wazzup? Dunno if you've done it already but I'd suggest you react to the montage videos: "Too much love will kill you" by Queen and/or "In my defense" by Freddie Mercury. They are very similar videos, with many of the same shots of Freddie and Queen, both in private moments as well as in special moments of their carreers, like in concerts, backstage and in the shooting of videos. I recommend them as well for the beautiful music. "Too much love will kill you" is a song written by Brian may, from the Queen album "Made in heaven", released posthumously to Freddie's death. As for "In my defense", it's a song off of the musical "Time", to which Freddie contributed performing some songs. Although It wasn't written by him it fits him perfectly and it's a beautiful vocal performance. Keep up the good work, my friend. It is very entertaining and a pleasure to watch you watch and react to these videos and become more familiar with Queen and Freddie Mercury's music and history. Like you say, stay solid. Peace.

Also I think Freddie will be looking down laughing his ass off bc I think that song meant the world to him because of who it was about.... It's cute and funny... And it's also one of the later songs before his untimely passing .. and Delilah was who he spent his last bits of energy with
