Fun fact, as a child I had my inner ear bones (including the stapes, incus and cochlea) replaced with glass bones because of a weird disease named Cholesteatoma but in Danish is called "benæder" literally "Bone eater" or "Eater of bones". The surgery didn't work, but oh well.

@@crackedemerald4930 Crazy thing, I actually have no clue. I was just told it was glass prosthetics. But I guess it can't be the fragile normal type right? (I was 6-8 years old and don't really remember it being explained by the surgeon)
you can totally sound like a fantasy character if you just tell people that because of an attack by the Eater of Bones, skilled physicians had to replace key parts of your anatomy with glass-forged replacements.

I’m in grad school for speech language pathology so ear nose and throat bones have been haunting my every moment and hearing these guys mispronounce the bones that ruin my life is a good reminder that it’s really not that serious😌

There's a Korean saying that the opening made me think of: "There are three things certain in life; death, taxes, and Samsung." I think that an episode where everyone draws translated sayings would be hilarious.
I was very surprised about how much samsung there is in SK when I visited, specially after having to go and coming out of Samsung hospital lol
A few Japanese idioms/sayings I've learned:
1: Even the monkey will fall from the tree. (さるも きから おちる。) Meaning: Even experts will make mistakes, so don't be too hard on yourself.
2: The child of a frog is a frog. (かえるの こどもは かえる。) Meaning: Kids tend to be similar to their parents.
3) Water in a sleeping ear/water in the ear of someone sleeping. (ねみみにみず) Meaning: A big, sudden shock.
4) I want to borrow a cat's hand, too. (ねこの ても かりたい。) Meaning: We are short on manpower and I could use any help I can get.

Fun plow fact:
The invention of the plow is often considered the origin of the Agricultural Revolution! It made growing food crops on a larger scale possible, giving us more time for making and inventing things (since we were spending less time hunting & gathering*) :D
*that said, a lot of hunter/gatherer societies had/have survival methods outside of agriculture that achieved the same purpose, like how the indigenous peoples of what is now called the US created complex systems of land stewardship so they could hunt & gather more effectively ^u^ The western Agricultural Revolution was great for productivity, but a lot of land stewardship methods do the same thing w/ less disturbance to the soil & ecosystem!

trained osteoarchaeologist here (archaeologist taught to excavate human bones) i spent all of jacob's section thinking "im gonna be devistated if they dont do the pisiform". I loves the bones THANK YOU for doing the pisiform, excellent choice. The individual carpals and tarsals are underrated they have fantastic names and shapes.
In fact bone game shape challenge with all carpels or tarsals could be fun but i am very very biased.
i am equal parts delighted and horrified to hear the bone names mispronounced. i am choosing to be amused

I worked with some physical therapists one summer and there was a great debate on the pronunciation of pisaform one day. The two camps were "piss-a-form" and "pie-za-form" and we never reached a satisfactory conclusion.
Oxford says “pie.” They all seem to agree the second syllable’s a schwa though
