Hi, love your tutorials. Is it true that Vegetation Studio has been discontinued? I can't seem to find it anywhere on the assetstore. What would you recommend as an alternative? I do have Gaia Pro, but it's honestly too bloated and hardly bugfree.
Hey i really like your tutorials but can you make a tutorial on how to make terrain brushes using gaea i tried making them but they are voxelated or pixleated and have a strange square border. Can you make a quick tutorial on how to make simple terrain brush. Thank you
Excellent video, really easy to follow and understand the workflow! I'm making height maps for a game called "7 Days to Die" and my biggest challenge is visualizing what I am creating. The maps are 8192 x 8192 with a vertical scale of 0 to 255 meters. The first 50 meters must be ground surface or water as players need to dig down to mine. Do you have any tips on how I might create and visualize these maps?
Gaea computes sea level as a % of world height. Since you have a max height scale of 255 that doesn't give you a lot to work with for features, but you can set the 8192x8192x255 from the 'Build' tab at the bottom under Terrain Definition and use Clamp Min to raise or lower the land relative to the sea. You can start with 50/255 = 19.6% as your starting sea value. Here's a graph to get you started: Mountain -> Clamp (bump min to ~18) -> Erosion -> Sea (level 19.6, adjust beach) If visualize means colorize check out my simple island tutorials where we color it in Gaea. I used to play the game. Post a clip how it turns out for sure I'd love to check out what you come up with.

Great suggestion. This works with the 'Mesher' node (tris) and as an FBX. I'll put a video together with a few examples.
