It seems like Russia's interference into Ukraine's affairs underlines its utter irresponsibility. It raised fears in Europe and caused more countries to join NATO. It crossed NATO's red line with talk of nuclear use and caused NATO to raise defense spending. It appears Russia's invasion of the Donbas and on toward Kiev was meticulously but foolishly planned and poorly executed, and this exercise in brinkmanship edges the world closer to devastating consequences. Basically, Russia just shouldn't have gone there.
