I wish more people would react to his Superbowl Halftime performance! I was lucky enough to have won tickets to the Superbowl that year, so I got to witness it live! Sitting in those stands getting soaked while he performed Purple Rain will forever be one of the most epic moments of my life!
@@KrizzKalikoOfficialThe story may be apocryphal but apparently because it was raining for the first time the producers asked Prince if he wanted to go with a pre-recorded set instead of live and he replied “can you make it rain harder” and then went on live regardless!!!
I remember the day it was raining purple here in Minnesota. 4/21/16. I drive by paisley park several times a week. Minnesota will always be Princes’ home. 💜💟
I agree man! I am a 60 year old white woman and II remember when he played the Super Bowl - we were at a our local small rural central Illinois town bar. When they announced the half time show was next a bunch of people yelled change the channel, who cares about him and me and a gal next to me said "I DO!" The place was silent as we ALL watched in awe! Me and Diane gave the others gathered that day a valuable lesson about judging someone! RIP to a master!
I saw Prince back in the 80’s right after the Purple Rain movie came out and he rocked! I was in high school and I love all his music. I also was a huge fan of The Gap Band then too. ❤
I was at this show, about 10 rows back from the stage at the Carrier Dome with a few friends. It was f-ing amazing! One of the best shows I have ever seen. The man is genius, iconic and a G.O.A.T. This was the second Encore and ended the show.
He is the most talented artist in my life time for sure. All around. Instrumentalist, song writer, performer. Creator. He kind of personifies the term creator
Top of the list as a larger than life icon of our time. This is what ive said about Prince since a teen... he can walk into your house and take your girl after he stills her shoes and borrows her eyeliner. Also you see him play guitar but he could play 27 different instruments. A truely brilliant man.
Early Prince is the best Prince. IMO you can't go wrong with anything from the For You, Prince, Dirty Mind, Controversy, 1999, or Purple Rain albums. You should do a reaction to Bambi...it is a rocker!
We had someone in our class who looked and dressed like Prince during the era of Prince. We also had an Elvis impersonator too. I'm surprised I wasn't an MJ one. Lol. I missed out! Good times back then.
I was lucky to see him at the O2 when he played 30 plus gigs in London. He played 3 straight hours of solid gold hits ! Purple Rain is my second favourite Prince song. Raspberry Beret and 1999. He was a legend Krizz!
I was driving down to Arkansas because they were turning life support off on my sister. I had the radio on and heard 2 Prince songs on the radio back to back and my stomach just dropped. As you know that's never a good sign. I had to pull over. Between my sister and Prince I think thats the hardest I've ever cried in my life.
His death still feels like a cosmic mistake. I live down the road from Paisley Park. I walked over there every day for over a week after he died. The outpouring of love and sadness was unbelievable. Thousands of people from all over the world showed up. It was pretty cool to see just how loved he was and still is. So much about his generosity came out after he died that no one knew about it. I have been to few of his shows, he was such an amazing artist and performer and I had run into him a few times out in public, he was añways a super nice person.
You will get no argument from me. By far head and shoulders thee most creative and polished musician to be so heavily recorded and documented. Above Mozart, above them all. The one the whole music world looks up to, Nuff said. Rest in peace your purple highness.
Saw this live 6 times in 1985 (five at the Forum and once at the Long Beach arena). It was a great time to be 18 and work at a record store that had a TicketMaster in it 😁. My friend and I even got onstage for "Baby I'm a Star" at the last show. My goofy ass got retroactive stage fright ON THE WAY HOME 😆.
@KrizzKalikoOfficial It was such a ridiculous thing to have happen (HOURS later; Jerome invited us backstage - i.e. we were hanging out for awhile), so I trust that you know it's a true story and that you actually laughed. Good grief 🙄. But 18 was fun 😁. We got to see EVERYBODY because that TicketMaster was in the store.
Love love love prince. First vinyl album of his I bout was I wanna be your lover had song Bambi on it I think in 1978 still have the vinyl purple rain album to this day. I love vinyls and such great performer saw him live in concert when he came here to Illinois. What a loss when he passed. Much love to all the greats we’ve lost. Much love ❤ long long prince fan
Eric Clapton, so called one time the GOAT of soulful guitar, was asked how it feels to be the best guitarist in the world. His simple answer "ASK PRINCE".
Krizz, your reaction was priceless!! 💜PRINCE 💜was a whole other level of musical genius. I have a FaceBook friend who sang and worked with Prince. 🕊R.I.P. Prince. 🕊 What a freakin' LEGEND!! 💜✨💜
Yes, he was defiantly thinking way outside the box. He showed us what coloring inside the box should look like. Because he made up his own rules and he wasn't going to be a cookie cutter.
Prince was very underrated guitarist another amazing underrated guitarist you should react to is terry kath from Chicago Jimi Hendrix one said he’s the best ever please react to Chicago 25 or 26 to 4 live at tanglewood 1970 Terry Kath has one of the greatest live guitar solos of his time
Prince was an incredible talent and a hell of a multi-instrumentalist but greatest of all time?? He is on the list to be sure but there are many others.
I saw this tour live and I had the LP and the movie and I begged my Dad for weeks for tickets and he finally gave in but the concert was highly sexual for the times and was restricted to 18 years and up. My Dad told me not to be mad if we didn't get in and scalp the tickets..but we did get in and the rest is history 😅 Let's go Crazy is a must too. Great reaction Krizz and Peace out ☮️ ✌️ 🙏
Loved your reaction and energy! Prince was one of a kind and not just a legend. You need to react to him playing guitar to "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" at a Beatles Tribute. ruclips.net/video/6SFNW5F8K9Y/видео.html
Why do you keep repeating the word Rockstar, when he was delving into all sorts of genres? Why don't you say greatest Artist? Because, you know, he could do it all. Not only guitar solos...

@LordRahl1975 It, in fact, did start raining harder! Lol
@ Even the weather HAD to obey The Purple One 🤟🤟
Danm straight my brotha. Prince is one of the best preformed in the history of music and mankind. No one will speak ill of the dead.

The Purple Rain album was the first album I was bought as a child. I must have listened to that thing front to back thousands of times.
Heh, my first tape as well, for my first proper stereo as a kid.
@ such a great album. We were blessed to hear it so young 😀
🌸 I love how happy this made you today
😊
I think you’re right… The greatest musician to ever live… there’s no one like him and I don’t think there will ever will be.
Agreed
🌸 he always had the crowd in the palm of his hand
Blessed to have seen him three times live.

Love Prince. If you’ve never seen his Super Bowl XLI performance in 2007, you really need to check it out. It was absolutely epic. He was in the rain.
I love prince to he's was a awesome musical genius RIP to this man great reaction from you love your music too

R.I.P Prince
He had a major influence on the style of dance that I was doing
Nothing to argue about, you are correct sir. Loved your reaction
You are totally right … the greatest to ever live, Prince Rogers Nelson 💜💜💜
I come from a rock/blues lover group. But, Prince has been a favorite since I first heard him while I was in high school in the late 70s.

Love PRINCE SO MUCH, THAT WHEN HE PASSED FRIENDS FROM HIGH SCHOOL WERE CALLING AND CHECKING ON ME♥️♥️♥️♥️💯💯💯💯🙏🙏🙏⚘️⚘️⚘️ REST IN PARADISE

Everyone should be required to watch his halftime show!! Nobody will ever beat that performance!!
I live an hour from Syracuse and I’m so jealous of everyone that was there!!! I was too little at that time!!!
True legend love 😍 prince ❤❤❤

Truly missing this guy, even in now 2024 it's still emotional to think he's no longer here. R I P
Mr. Prince Rogers Nelson
I agree with you! Prince was the greatest, hands down! My hubby bought me a record player and the Purple Rain soundtrack.
That performance was fuego 🔥 RIP Prince 💜
Holy..looking back I don't think I've seen Prince live before. This was a vibe experience and I was jamming right along with you.
@ 3:15 It's really neat when the audience acts as your back-up singer. :D

You have a beautiful voice!! Thank you.
I appreciate that! 🙏

Right after his passing I danced to this song with my Boo at a bar and every one wept😢😢
Why? Cause he was a celebrity?
@jamesellis701 because the crowd I was with were huge fans. I also wept when Freddie Mercury passed
@marlainalindsey3279 you only cry when celebrities die?

Prince was music in human form. There’s no way I would’ve been in his band. No matter the instrument or how good you are-he was better
He put on one hell of a concert. Gone way too soon
No we loved Prince. Pink Floyd and Synrd are up with him. We had wayyyy too many greats to really just choose one. So many originals.
Need to see you cover this please would be awesome
