i gasped when i realized u had a single dorm room with a personal bathroom lol, it's bigger than the rooms some of my friends at public universities share with two other people
Hi, this dorm is in Clark! Typically upperclassmen dorms have private bathrooms or ones that are shared among 2-4 people, while underclassmen dorms have bathrooms that are shared amongst the entire floor.
did you contact the orchestra conductor the spring of your junior year? It says that on pomona's website but i still want to participate in the orchestra and submit a violin supplement
It is recommended but not required -- I know many people in the orchestra who did not contact the conductor before applying to Pomona College. You should definitely submit a music supplement if you are interested in participating in the orchestra, though that is also not required!
hello! I’m a junior in high school and I’m really interested in going to Pomona college and you seem to be enjoying your time there so if you don’t mind me asking: would you recommend it? also how do you make friends in college :,,)
Personally, I'd recommend Pomona because it has everything that I was looking for in a college: great people, accessible professors, small class sizes, and a strong music community, just to name a few. For you, that would depend on your preferences and what you want to get out of your college experience. I found visiting the campus really helpful in making my decision--not only taking the campus tour, but also participating in an overnight stay! There are lots of ways to make friends in college! I was fortunate enough to become great friends with people who lived in my hall my first year. I also met people in the organizations that I'm a part of, like the symphony orchestra and the law journal. You can also meet friends in your classes, especially if it's a particularly difficult one that benefits from study groups. And these are just a few examples! :)
Hmm... I'm not an admissions officer, but I don't believe there is a formula you have to follow in order to get into college. I would focus on doing well academically, and also find something you really enjoy doing outside of school work.
