Tim at Taccom is a very nice guy. He made a 22lr barrel for my competition 22 that works with the CMMG style bolt set up I use. Same 5.5" shrouded bbl.
@@pewsandbrews I have Tim's ULW barrel on my S&W 15-22 and totally love it. I'm putting the Taccom barrel/USSB/3 stage recoil system on my lightweight PCC build. Do you happen to recall how you tightened your barrel to the upper receiver? Meaning, did you just tighten it with a wrench until it felt tight enough or did you torque it to some value with a big crows foot on a torque wrench. Thanks.
Sorry to bring up an old post. What is bolt bounce like with the captured buffer? I had some out of battery detonations with a carbine spring and 8-ish oz solid buffer.
Most 9mm pcc don't because of the smaller size of the 9mm mag. Some companies make ones that do though. In Steel challenge you are changing mags before ( hopefully) you run out anyway.
@@pewsandbrews I just ordered one... got a fully custom PCC by Brekke Customs & He uses the Aero Precision lower. While the FTM rifle is run well for me, there is room for tons of improvements!
@@gleamtarrest6310 I built A new one with the Aero EPC upper/lower combo, Taccom ultra light weight barrel, Taccom short stroke bolt, Blitz/Kynshot short stroke buffer. Runs like a dream and only weighs 4 1/2 lbs.
Very nice build. The Taccom barrel is a game changer by taking out so much weight at the front.

@@baxrok2. I have a crows foot, but I just use a little blue locktite and crank it down, no specific torque.
@@pewsandbrewsThat was my plan too. Thanks!

@@jlcg never had any issues. Since this video, I've gone to a blitzkrieg hydraulic buffer.
Great video. What is the best grain weight for the upper? Can it shoot 115s?
@@fat-hand The bullet weight is determined by the powder charge. I have these downloaded for competition, so it should run any factory round.
Great video! So, the LRBHO doesn't work on your gun? Does that not matter to you? I had thought that was desirable feature.

Fox Trot Mike has LRBHO!
Got an Aero EPC that has it. Might do a vid on that.
