Man! Perfect timing! You just saved me a purchase, return then purchase…. I was just about to order one for my .308 and would have ordered the wrong one. Thanks Caleb!
That stock is way cool! Seemingly the manufacturer/designer did put quite much thought into this product - which is the only way to go.. Way decent options and features.👍🏻👍🏻
Two items that peaked my curiosity being: - Weight vs the Luth-AR MBA-3 @ 19.2 oz B5 CPS-M @ 20.65 oz. - MSRP as of April '23 - B5 @ $218.50 - Luth-AR @ $159.95
Only thing I liked about the Luth compared to a Magpul PRS was the weight. This one looks like it might be almost as good as a PRS and definitely better than the PRS Lite. It’s pricey but good quality is worth it.
Aw dang you saved me some homework, because I IMMEDIATELY thought to compare this to the Luth-AR MBA3 stock. Been wanting one to replace a FAB Defense GL-CP stock I have on a bolt gun in MDT LSS chassis that uses adjustable/carbine stocks. And would like one for the 6ARC I'm slowly building as a precision/marksman rifle.
These will be a big seller. Wait until this summer when build season really takes off and a few more tubers are showing them off they'll be out of stock constantly lol. Brownells, finding new products for me to burn the credit card with. 💲💲💲💲
just my experience. I put a law folder on a 308 ar 10, and it snapped the "button" off from excessive recoil, causing it to just flop around not being able to lock. while law tactical sent me a replacement part free of charge (boss move) i would recommend using it on calibers smaller than 308 for the time being. some constructive advice id give is beef up the locking bar/latch area, once that breaks, the rifle is pretty much disabled without a quick fix. so far has been super convenient on my ar15 tho, no problems to report there. can't wait to see the law tactical folder sequel!
Question: with the Long you recommend on the A-5 tube, wouldn’t the charging handle movement be hindered by the cheek piece being moved further forward in the fully collapsed position? Right now my charging handle has only about a half inch to an inch clearance from the cheek piece on the Medium length with the stock fully collapsed. I do see what you mean about your cheek position but couldn’t this be improved by adjusting the LOP?
Good stock but it lacks shoulder purchase area and the butt plate isn't adjustable for height or cant like the Magpul PRS Gen 3. I ended up replacing the B5 CPS with a PRS Gen 3, a world of difference in terms of dialing in your fit with a rifle.

I have collection of stocks both in Bravo and Sopmod and all of them have a side to side play on a Milspec Carbine buffer tube (both DD and Geissele). How is the side play on this one?
Yes, but is there clearance for the charging handle when using the "long" version, fully collapsed, on an AR-15 with an A5 tube that isn't using a Law folder?
Yes, that groove of right angles along the cheekweld pulls the beard. I learned that the hard way. The B5 is a fantastic substitute or this precision stock too.
The one I played with was a little rattly on the buffer tube. It seemed to me that the wobblyness of the stock kind of defeated the “precision” purpose. YMMV.
@@ryanguldbrandsen7672 I’m glad your SopMod stock has been tight. If this one ends up being tight too, I’d love to know what brand your buffer tube is. It may be on the higher end of spec and the one I used may be on the lower end of spec.
@@CutlassOutdoors It's a Geissele buffer tube. Was a great deal on veterans day sales with it and the super 42 and h2 spring and buffer. *I'll forget to come back and say anything.
Gosh… maybe instead of short, medium, long they should have just said 308, AR15, Folding,.. something ain’t right when you have to make a video about this.
I love how the closed captioning opens this video with “Hi, Caleb with brown eyes here…”

Thanks I might pick up one of those Luth’s one day quite the savings over this B5
I wish Magpul would have thought about charging handles before they said their PRS stocks are compatible with 308 ARs.
Love B5,glad to see they’re thinking not just putting stuff out, unlike some other brands.
Thanks for the info on the differences in sizes. I checked their website and couldn't figure out why they had 3 different versions
Multicam long in bound, love B5 stuff
Holy crap
I needed this question answered today and you swooped in
Thanks for the video
Simple but brilliant
Explanation style is very clear to catch....
Love to put one on my DPMS LR308 but i really dont feel like changing my buffer tube. Already broke in and shoots amazing. Guess ill keep my Magpul.

Yeah….. they’re not new….
Thanks for covering this, this is the stock I'm going to buy for my SDI MSR Aero M5 build.
Oooohhh! I love the B5 Bravo stocks and might have to give this one a try for my more precision setups.

I learned something, Thanks.
Is it possible to put a LAW folder on a 308 and, if so, which one would you use then?
Not gonna lie Caleb, I thought you would put the thumbnail camo one on the grey gun. I was going to tease you if that happened.
I would add that if you are putting the stock on a bolt gun, like a Ruger Precision Rifle, go with the long.
Good info. Was wondering why there were three. Thanks.
Will the long work on the AR-10?
No.
Yeah watched it again, short for 308.
Good explanation 👍
Definitely looks like it might be a Magpul PRS Lite killer.

Have you tried the Magpul PRS yet?
Right side charging handle is the way Togo!
nice to try this on a Mod-Holland

When is B5 gonna make a multi-cam grip ?
I see PSA is selling some on their lowers is that B5 systems any good
I like Brownell from Pakistan🇵🇰❤
Yes, but is there clearance for the charging handle when using the "long" version, fully collapsed, on an AR-15 with an A5 tube that isn't using a Law folder?
No, that's why they made medium
Patiently waiting for B5 systems high speed low drag max hold halo approved hair gel
What about a AR10w/A5 system I guess your stuck between lengths
black multicam?
They just look goofy. Dig the camo though
How does this compare to the MagPul PRS Gen 3?
Is it true that the Vltor stock pull out your beard/facial hair?
With all the facial hair Caleb has
Any collapsible stock save for the UBR and a few others will pull beard hair
Yes, that groove of right angles along the cheekweld pulls the beard. I learned that the hard way. The B5 is a fantastic substitute or this precision stock too.
@@sampsonlll1825 Thank you! I will buy a B5 stock
would you still use the short on a AR10 with the Armalite/A5 receiver extension
Charging handle might hit that cheek riser on an ar10
The one that was made for the SR-25 is what you want. The A5 tube basically is a SR-25 length tube. That’s where that tube length originated from.
Restock the multicam on brownells please my ar10 needs it
That's a super heavy stock
The one I played with was a little rattly on the buffer tube. It seemed to me that the wobblyness of the stock kind of defeated the “precision” purpose. YMMV.
This is why I go with BCM for all my stocks and furniture. Extremely tight tolerances.... All b5 stocks are known to have some slop in them.
Definitely a YMMV. My B5 sopmod is tight with no rattle. I'll be getting one of these as well.

Will the medium fit on the POF Revolution and Ruger SFAR
Yes, those are 308 rifles. The POF can use the small. It uses a 5.56 charging handle.
the magpul precision stock is nice, but it feels just a tab bit to long over all

@@skydivingcomrade1648 yes, the new AWB bans individual components.
