This guy has so much more to contribute to Raider Nation other than providing us information about our team. I've coached baseball for 17 years and I always made it a priority to teach as much about life lessons as I could instill in my guys. Not just about baseball. It's the lessons that we teach to our youngsters about life and living right, which isn't always easy.
I've retired from coaching for 7 years, but to this day, I still have communication with my former players. Hondo I can't wait to meet you in person, and I will someday. It's meant to be. Love ya man
Have a great great day tomorrow

I'm sick and tired of hearing some members of Raider Nation saying that there are concerned about our offense and the QB situation. I guess these guys and gals would have been thrilled had they drafted zJayden Daniel's thinking g that would be the secret potion. I guarantee you that out of the top 5 QBs selected perhaps one would live up to expectation. We would have sacrificed our first and second round draft picks till 2026. JD could be a bust. We don't know. Now talking about Minshew and O Connel give them a break. Pleeease. The offense is new under Getsy. I takes time and practice to master it. Let's wait and see how it pans out. Remember the defense has had a one year practice under their belt and hence the advantage over the offense. Do you guys get it. The Raiders have gone through millions of new coaches and hence the subperformance. We need some stability in the coaching system to find out how good or bad we are. Remember these are high paid athletes but they are also human. Support them till you cannot. Be patient.

Amen. It's way too early to think playoffs or to give up on Aiden. Wait until 4 or 5 games are done, then we can judge a bit. Personally, as long as there are more good things than bad, give him the chance to develop.

Hondo, you bring it from the place inside you that a lot of people struggle with because they need the drama or attention. Your truth is refreshing in today's world of people dodging or trying to change the truth. To those of us that see from your view, although I enjoyed it, there is no reason for you to explain why you do what you do. I'm 63 appreciate your info and views. You say your not a fan, and I believe when they start winning you will find out that after looking at what it takes to be a fan that you have checked every box, and you watched them grow like your children it will overwhelm you to the point of admitting your Fandom. If not we hope you cover the Raiders until you retire. I also think you love that your wife is a fan, and you will join in her happiness when they are winning. Keep up the great work.

I think with AOC it’s simple. You keep him in as long as he can 1) out play anyone you bring in and/or 2) the next time the game is on the line ex. the first Chargers game. AOC makes the throw to win the game then AOC should be the starter and touted the Raiders guy. However, if he throws a pick in that situation again, I’d say that’s when the Raiders should start to get more aggressive about replacing him.

A name and an image popped into my mind when thinking about Raider QB's over the years, Jeff George. I remember when he first walked out onto the field. You could clearly see he was a physical stud. The ridiculous way with the way he threw the ball was almost like he was mocking others about how good he was. You know what? He didn't have the IT factor. He didn't have the human connection factor. It's very important. Gruden wanted Gannon instead because HE had IT. Question is, do either O'Connell or Minshew have it? I don't actually know. Minshew strikes me as very easy going and mellow like a Kenny Stabler. I really don't know what Aidan is like, and even the players are only JUST finding out. This process is not compete and it's also complex. Man you drink a lot of moonshine ;-)

Capitalism requires mass psychosis - Grandstanding is a decent technique for moving attention away from what’s really important towards a narrative that is convenient. Look at our leaders in politics as the most obvious example
Chandler Jones was driving around on delusionally high adventures, including cashing Raiders checks while demanding to be back on the Raiders - and no one reported on it unless he himself is a reporter 😅
Once a raider always raider, does Howard and Henry have nothing to do with each-other because it was certainly never talked about by the media despite obvious overlap .. maybe if Howard’s BS was not put under a Rug, who knows
