Tip to non-French speakers: Turn on CC (Closed Captions) then turn on Auto-Translate. Edit: I added the official subtitles to the video so now they should be accurate!
I notice Sven Hanson Love on one of the flyers - brother of the film director Mia Hanson Love - and inspiration for the film Eden, with Daft Punk played by actors in the film! (One of my favourite films). This is like watching the real story behind Eden! 😁👌
I was about to write that. Great film, I have a good memory of it, although I was left with the impression that in the film Daft Punk were depicted as some sorts of villains who could do no wrong and cannibalized the talent of struggling fellow electro artists. I was baffled at them giving some sort of green light to that. Maybe just a figment of my memory or me over theorising
@@doudouard1132 I really think you’ve misinterpreted that. I’m pretty sure Daft Punk gave their consent to their portrayal, and they’re old friends of Sven, brother of the writer and director. To me their including in the film was just serving as a parallel to the stalling career (and life) of the main character through the years. They were never shown to be ‘cannibalising’ the work of their peers - it was the opposite really - they developed their own unique style - as shown when Da Funk is played at the house party and is totally different to what everyone is used to hearing. Obviously films are open to personal interpretation, especially ones like Eden, but I think you misread the way they were portrayed.
It’s the lesser known Dave Clarke (not the Brighton Techno DJ). This one is one third of Soma records with Slam. I found that confusing for years because you barely ever see this one!
