I was climbing a mountain, and I asked the guide how close we were to the top. He responded "FINAL FANTASY 16 PLAYTHROUGH REACTIONS SUPERCUT (PART 1)." I smiled, I knew it was the Peak.
I still think the rawest thing about the fact that Clive got his brand removed, is that Tarja was the one that effectively created the procedure. Since the brands themselves are poisonous, she basically used herself as the initial patient to remove it. And she fucking succeeded, we fucking LOVE Tarja.
Important to note that in that "I'll fucking kill you" line. The voice actor was basically told "make it sound like you've lost every reason for existing"
didnt his father die during recording for this game? so he poured a lot of that grief and anger into his more emotional lines?
@Xenmaru00 Especially after doing one of the later game quests revolving around Clive's father. Ben Starr had just come back from taking care of stuff with his dad and those were the lines he had to record first 😞
@@Xenmaru00yup, he pretty much threw all his energy into his performance and he said it actually was a major part in helping him process it.

Just to note. If I recall correctly, a Margrace/Margrave is a Duke who hasn't become a Duke yet. So Joshua being the heir to the Duchy but not yet in charge, that's his official title. Technically Clive's too.

Eh, not sure I agree. Her motivation feels a bit too excessive, compared to say, Cersei, which takes an understandable desire but taken to an extreme degree.

Anabella’s motivations for make sense. She’s a supremacist at nearly every level one can imagine believing herself as “the rightful ruler,” of all that she sees and reaches for. Her rational doesn’t HAVE to be logical nor sympathetic, they just have to make sense to her.
@@J-manli i think her attitude also makes sense as a sort of survival tactic in the world that she lives in, i believe one of the lore entries somewhere alludes to this, but she views her bloodlines ability to bear dominants as the source of her high status and clings desperately to that. Clive being a "failure" in her eyes is a direct threat to the security of that status, and you can see from the stuff benedikta and other characters go through that this universe is unsurprisingly not great towards women, which is probably why shes so aggressive about maintaining her status and betrays rosaria since she thought the empire would give her more power. Not saying that excuses her mindset, i still hate her, but thinking about her from that perspective did make her feel a little bit more like a person than an entirely one note despicable personality
Idk if Kupka is the chaddest simp, or the simpest chad, but it's so funny that his main motivation is avenging a woman who didn't actually love him.
you almost wanna feel bad for the guy cause he legit loved her and she was...torn between too many loyalties and couldnt even in the end be loyal to herself.
@@Xenmaru00 I kinda feel that too, but he's such a d-bag that it just wraps around to being funny again. I do feel sorry for Benediktda though. She had a hard life, and when she had a chance to change it, she back the wrong horse.
Fun fact: that final hit against the infernal shadow on a first playthrough always has the same damage 5542, 5+5+4+2=16

Ty for this, i stopped my playthrough shortly after this when DT dropped but was thinking of picking the game back up again. The recap was lovely.
I remember when the iftit v. Phoenix fight happened while playing with my friend and the fade to black happened we just slowly looked at each other like "whaaaaaat theeeee fuuuuuuuck..."
Yup, the prologue alone has you finding so many ways to say “oh my god!”, “holy shit!”, and “what the fuck!?”

if you know the KH meme about Donald Duck, know that we meme about Donald Duck for a damn good reason.
that said, the only thing you really need to know is that each numbered FF game is pretty much it's own world and story. kinda like Armored Core.

@@betawooper2944 it's worth looking into cause FF magic is fucking whack and it is one of the few constants of Final Fantasy and spinoffs using it's magic system. and probably one of the most well known and absurd of these is a series of spells Donald Duck has somehow mastered, to the point of being one of the elite few across Final Fantasy related games to ever cast one of it's most destructive forms, let alone be able to control said spell's final form and it's output to avoid burning the world around him.

Hoping CBU3 makes a Dissidia-like / StrangerOfParadise-style title or similar. With a little more kit customization (thank you incoming PC-mods), this combat kit would make an amazing multiplayer campaign.

FF16 is a lot like MGR:R for me, I just absolutely love watching people experience the insane shit in it for the first time. Absolute blast of a game.

One of the things this playthrough taught me is that ultrawidescreen mods don't look good and aren't consistent, lmao
that's a bad take to say the least, lol
@@woops The game's just not made for it. Half the time the extra real estate is just empty space since the shot wasn't designed for ultrawide, and the other half you have a pre-rendered cutscene or screen effect that's only in regular widescreen. Stuff like the damage checks during bosses where you have the awkward purple box in the middle of the screen where it cuts from widescreen to ultrawide
