for, I have just pulled the rigger on a 7900xtx Red Devil, really hope I dont regret it lol very anxious! will be my first upgrade since the 1080TI, so its a full build. hard to see that hard earned cash flow out the account haha. I really was hoping to stick with console gaming, but started to feel it was getting limited din performance. I still enjoy the VR gaming though on ps5. I hope FSR 3 is decent when it comes out. I was going to go 4090 FE but could not pull the trigger on the additional £520 over the Red Devil.
You will be fine and quite satisfied with the XTX I am more than satisfied with my build over the current consoles.
You should be very happy. I have the 7900 XTX Nitro Sapphire and I can run anything 4k no issue.
I didn't really feel like the 4090 was worth the extra money either
@@RJTHEGAME thank you for the reassurance 😃 all the parts should come today hopefully. Besides the cost for the 4090 there is always that doubt about the safety of that connector as well.
@@frogboyx1Gaming thank you Frog, also for the content and taking time to reply. I can imagine it can’t be easy with the pressure of the comments.
@@Acconda A few tips for Cyberpunk if you have that game. At 4K i'd highly recommend FSR Performance if you want to have everything ultra plus Ultra RT. That way you get a solid 60fps plus experience with hardly any dips. FSR Quality for me isn't worth the performance hit since it can dip to low 50s and for me personally I don't really see hardly any difference between FSR Quality or performance at 4k. That's the only game where i've had to use FSR performance really if wanted everything max and I've played so many intensive games. It's more geared to Nvidia hardware with all the extra ray tracing stuff but it actually looks great on the 7900 XTX regardless and I played the whole game on FSR performance and was blown away. coming from console also It's such a big difference
daaang dude that is beautiful graphics, someone made AMD modded drivers to run hyper RX on 6000 series still gonna chill out until black friday for PC parts
I just bought an XFX 7900 XTX. Awesome card but I am GPU locked now with my i9-9900k. With a bit of video trickery I am able to get an almost steady 60 fps with ray tracing Ultra at 1440p upscaled to 2160p via RSR and then using FSR Ultra. I've also tested XESS and it actually holds up pretty good as well
all that just to do what nvidia does easily. glad i got a 4080 super
I'm using a HYPR-RX/XeSS combination on the 7900XT. Resolution is set to 1440p (on a 4k monitor), HYPR-RX upscaling on and in game XeSS balanced. In such low resolutions XeSS looks a lot better/more detailed then FSR.
I only use raytracing for lighting (on the psycho setting) and switched off raytracing for shadows and reflections. I don't think they are good looking options if not on pathtracing and DLSS 3.5. The standard shadows are a lot sharper and more detailed then raytraced shadows.
Also I don't switch every other setting to ultra. Instead I have a medium/high settings combination (high on all the shadow stuff in the menu, medium on the other options).
The lighting option on psycho is looking really good, it's worth tuning down some of the other settings for that.
Try 1800p it scales good to 4K and still retains good performance.
Yeah it's worth to try some more settings. The local shadows raytracing option is also not bad. What makes sense to the user depends on how much strain they want to put on the graphics card. I tend to lock such graphic heavy single player games to 60fps and try to have a somewhat relaxed graphics card, which is even possible with raytracing in Cyberpunk, thx to XeSS. I'm sure FSR will become similar eventually. Most games are not as intense as Cyberpunk so it's not really a problem in any other game.
@@Ornal64 Tried it. I don't know why I never tried 1800p before but it's a great recommendation as it looks and performs pretty good with FSR balanced or even performance. Thank you!!
@@conditionsunderground you’re welcome. Nobody talks about 1800p in gpu reviews and many gamers don’t realise that this resolution scales good to 4K. 7900XT is great 4K card I was planning to buy one but got great deal on 3090 for £550(7800X price) that will pair nicely with 5800X for entry 4K gaming.
@@Ornal64 I tried it with other games and it's great even with older games.
Good deal on the 3090
Strange, on the first run FSR was off in the menu but the results after you did the run said FSR was on quality...
It's a known bug. It reverts settings if you tick certain options and you can miss it sometimes.
rx 7900 xt is the best gpu in south east asia. not only the price is right, but the performance is insane for its price when compared to other gpu in such price range. literally obliterated all games comfortably at 4k max settings constant solid stable smooth 120 fps with no ray tracing. amd gpu weak point will always be the ray tracing, but ray tracing differences are minimal in most games and the performances hit are not worth it. and fsr 3 while not as good as dlss 3.5, its not that much of difference either.
4090 is still the king though not gonna lie, but i can buy 3 rx 7900 xt or 2 rx 7900 xtx with it here.
Now FSR3 will be need in the game and the FPS would be very great to play with RT and PT
I just ran that benchmark and copied your settings. 4k Ultra FSR quality. Avg FPS 95.84 min 78.74 max 139.08 frames 6158. It will also do 5k FSR performance 55-75fps and 8k 44fps with FSR performance. I was surprised how well ray tracing runs on these cards.
What Nvidia Bros are forgetting is AMD are behind with their upscaling but FSR 3 will be out soon. Also FSR defo looks better. Jesus from Ancient gameplays replied to me last night saying FSR 2.1 looks better now on Cyberpunk. He would know because for me he's the best AMD tester on youtube. Maybe that's what the difference is because image quality looked a lot worse on the older version
It looks significantly better this video was created with FSR 2.1 ultra performance that is the lowest tier you can choose for it.
I don't think AMD frame gen is going to look as good as Nvidia's but hey, just wait.
@@SweetFlexZ Well it's highly unlikely it will be but the point is it's an improvement for AMD. It doesn't have to be better than Nvidias it just needs too improve at its own pace. Nvidia are in front so it's harder too lose ground when they started developing their tech years before AMD did for upscaling and now this ray tracing recon 3.5
@@RJTHEGAME Yeah and at the end of the day FSR3 benefits everyone and I think that's perfect as an Nvidia user but I hope that the existence of FSR doesn't mean I can't use DLSS (like happened with Starfield per example)
@@SweetFlexZ From what I read Bethesda were at fault for not having DLSS in the game at launch
I finished Cyberpunk 2077 on my Vega 64. Now I’m gonna upgrade 6700XT to RTX3090 that I pickup used for £550 with delivery. Going team green.
Waste
There's no sides to this shit. Just pick whatever is best. Otherwise everything stagnates
When you talk about native 4k, why is there the "YES" on FSR 2.1 at 2:17 ? i sen you turn it off, maybe is a bug ?
Yeah it should be off.
@@frogboyx1Gaming that's why probably native and FSR edition are the same result... both of it where run with FSR enabled imo
FSR Ultraperformance is lower res than a calculator my dude
Still gets the job done.
@@frogboyx1Gamingain't that the truth, the thing with DLSS and FSR is that they're becoming increasingly better at what they do, I have a 5800X3D + RTX 4080 1440p G-Sync 144Hz build but I'm still surprised the 7900XT is pulling above its weight. Cheers from Spain and keep on keeping on.
Amd raytraicing =slideshow😂
I think that path tracing was turned on. Which is significantly more taxing. I bet it would run at least twice as good on regular raytracing
Hating on amd but can’t even spell it correctly
Yeah english not my main language its 4th one but u still understand what i sead dont try to change narative.
Pay 150 to 300 dollars more for 20 extra frames in raytracing in 2 games out of 50. Or have close to 4080 preformance on all games besides raytracing for 300 to 400 dollars less. Its all trade off. Its clear that with some proper setting adjustments and fsr xess amd can manage basic raytracing just fine and do path tracing at better than console preformance.
@@albertozalon8477 To be honest at release the RX 7900 XT wasn't a very good deal. 900 USD MSRP and 1000 for the 7900 XTX and I only had to put 200 USD more for almost identical Rasterization + much better Ray Tracing and overall a much better ecosystem. Today in the other hand both cards in a very good price but I would still go with an RTX 4080 just because it has so much better support (I mean games) better RT and Upscaling and so far more Frame Generation games. FSR 3 released and still nothing since.
ABK deal finally approved by cma
Little bro 🐸 out here like - "They definitely increased the quality of FSR" - meanwhile the palm trees 🌴 in the distance looks like sparklers! 🤣👊🏻 make it make sense little bro! 🪦🤣
Nah it’s good! A nice cinematic experience solid 30fps it’s like it’s Starfield on the XB 🫱🏻🫲🏼🥹 - frog also showing that driving CAN be done at 30fps on his way to destruction derby! We can only hope you make it! Also -those crates that were invisible till 1 meter away 👊🏻🤣
The last mode. 1440p I wasn’t even sure those things coming up the road WERE cars they were so degraded. 🤣
Sparklers stop it 😂😂. Funniest part is 2 days ago he was telling us all he preferred raster over path tracing, I'm like but now here we are playing at 30fps at ultra performance with path tracing instead of over 100fps at Raster..which he prefers 🤷😂.
I'm gonna quote you - make it make sense 😂😂.
Frog please explain I'm confused hahah
But I will say this if he is loving this experience I'm not gonna reign on the parade if this makes him actually see how good path tracing is so be it.
Before CP 2077 v2.0‚ FSR2 looked way worse on CP2077.
I just did the same test on 3080 with everything maxed out 4k ultra performance where u had 33fps i had 49fps avg
Awesome that is good seems like the 3080 10gb didn't lose any performance with the new update. Maybe even gained some performance. I never had an issue with the 3080 10gb on cyberpunk 2077 I was always impressed with it.
I have 120fps with my rig using 4K ultra quality everything maxed out with path tracing.
Guess the video card 😂

30 FPS in benchmark means 15 FPS in combat
What settings should I play at on my 7900XT on 4k?
so you have a lot of choices do you want RT at 4k?
If you're fine with a 30fps cap do Ultra RT preset with XeSS set to balanced. If you want 60fps just do the ultra setting with no RT and use XeSS quality. The game has a built in FPS limiter under the video tab.
@frogboyx1Gaming I'm gonna do both lol.
😂 frog settings 😂
Navy Seals Frogman Settings, UDT diver with AMD, geforce are the ones who need to be saved still, AMD is the guys who go rescue with FSR!@@Ballagun
Smack the GPU, get that shit outta here!
How you do that, 30 fps and so smooth game ?
Turn off the head Bob in gameplay settings
@@frogboyx1Gaming in cyberpunk have that?
@@hdirfelix yeah
Try Intel's upscaler, image quality is better.
Because it's modeled closer to Nvidias DLSS. Shh, don't tell the AMD boys though, they get pissy.
One of the worst test I have seen in RUclips.
I thought raster looked better than path tracing 😂😂. Here we are playing with path tracing 😂.
Ok so the best thing about PC is you play to the settings you like. No right or wrong.
Now I think personally for me after going thru settings from dlss and fsr ... I wouldnt use ultra performance on NVIDIA or AMD. NVIDIA had more detail but still couldn't hold the image and AMD was blurry at ultra performance for me. But if it has improved thats a win still. Everyone's tolence is different, I can respect that.
Based on a 3080 which was a beast at rt on this game.. I would go for higher fps, drop settings or go 1440p psycho rt. Even go 1440p path tracing with a few scaled back settings and higher fsr at maybe balanced if you could get a stable 50-60 average...the combat would feel better.
But once again go by what feels good by your experience.
HYPR RX has really improved now after both the AMD drivers and Cyberpunk 2.0 update. Looks like HYPR RX is working how it should now using FSR within the game, no image drawback from RSR. I couldn't believe it🤣 Once FSR 3 is out it's going to be massive
@@RJTHEGAME I would love to see someone do a comparison on fsr on a NVIDIA card vs AmD card...am I seeing something different on a NVIDIA card when I turn on fsr. I don't think it should but I don't own AMD card
I hope fsr 3 is good man. Like dlss3 fg doesn't quite Double frame rates it's more like 50% more in my opinion. Let's see what it looks when it launches.
@@c523jw7 DLSS and FSR comparisons were done a while back by Daniel Owen on Cyberpunk. FSR looked worse because some parts of the game had shimmering and Artifacts(which reminds me of the Starfield storyline🤣) But now yeah I agree I think FSR looks a lot better now so it would be a good video for someone to do. FSR for me looks brilliant in the Witcher 3 and other games like Forspoken. The trouble is some games have the older versions of FSR. Cyberpunks FSR was very outdated before just now. I would think FSR looks better on AMD GPUs like if DLSS was tuned to run on AMD it would likely look worse than it does on NVidia GPUs
There are actually quite a few things I wanna test now with the new update. Anything image wise I usually see straight away, i'm good at that lol. Radeon boost for me made weapons look very pixelated, loss of Resolution so for me I didn't like that when you're moving about. Ancient gameplays channel also confirmed that he also didn't like that feature. However anti lag is top notch tech, that will be very useful for FSR 3 to combat any latency and now the super Res is also great because of the extra frames,
@@RJTHEGAMEI mod dlss latest versions into games..I reckon alot of games have older versions of fsr being used and wonder if the same could be done. Like is there a way to mod in the latest fsr files to games??
lol 37 fps, AMD is garbage
😂😂😂
At raytracing kinda. At raster its absolutely runs the floor with nvidia
