My passion could still be evolving, but I like how he puts this a lot. Last year I had an English teacher that taught me how to really appreciate literature and the craft of writing. I might not like the genre of a book but I can still appreciate the author's style and craftsmanship because I love writing too and understand how hard it is to conceptualize your stories in a way that other people find enjoyable. I figured out from that as well as music that I love the journey authors and songwriters invite you on. Characters and lyrics teach me life lessons that I might never have the chance of experiencing, and I can see a glimpse of the mind behind the person who created them. Art is a window to the soul, which makes it fascinating. Based on this, I thought I might enjoy a job as an editor where I could make a living off of reading other people's stories and analyzing them.
Maybe think about why you like to stan and what attracts you to kpop groups or what things you like to do in a fandom. I think a lot of kpop stans are creatives and like working with people theyre good at careers in those areas
I know Tablo reads this stuff, so I'm replying.. But, man, you are a very weird person, but very intellectual at the same time.. and I love that combination..
I usually hate self-help books but if tablo wrote one, i would absolutely read it. Tablo’s advice is just so fresh and actually constructive, like actual things we can do instead of just a vague idea of how we should be, it also reminded me of his unique take on new year resolutions. Even the way he articulates his ideas and perspectives is so naturally poetic. Tablo if youre reading this please consider it!
I love this so much cause I'm having a debate about my life since I dropped out of college and now I want to follow a career in cinematography and acting but still want to continue school for agricultural sciences but I feel stuck now because I'm working a decent job and don't feel the need to go back but I know I'll be unsatisfied if I dont at least try again to pursue the things I like. I've always appreciated Tablo's perspective on so many things and this podcast really does help me with my life's future.
In my opinion follow your heart but also think smartly about it. I love drawing the most in the world but honestly getting work in that is hard and i dont want a career in it. Im happy to just draw in my spare time. Im in a career that is challenging to my mind and i prefer work that is mentally challenging, and theres a lot more opportunity for jobs.
I feel like you should save up enough money so you can pursue acting and cinematography and live comfortably while doing it. Anyways, we don't wanna live life regretting the choices we haven't done so GO!
i don't know why, but this clip feels even poetic. and it reminds me of the reason why i fell in love with this rapper called Tablo many years ago in the beginning. thanks for this. your insights are beautiful.
When I had to choose a career I kinda knew I wanted to do something related to Art, but I was really afraid, because all of that "you are not going to make any money with that" thing. Then I choose Graphic Design, I don't really know why, I just wanted to do something creative but I think that, at the time, Graphic Design felt like more formal idk. And recently I found my old drawings, and omg, I was totally doing GD, like 100%, it's really funny to me that I never thought about it. I really love being a Designer, I feel like it helped me to look at the world from another prospective. I can see Design in everything and I just love understanding and analything all of that. I love the idea of a system that have variables and constants, and how that can be used in every aspect of our lives. I've been studying GD for about 5 years (just one year left!) and I'm starting to do another career (At my university is called "Audiovisual Communications", it's like movie director+sound tech) and I can say that I'm in love with the world of Design!
I want to be a graphic designer too but my parents aren't too fond of that. They want me to go into the medical field and I'm starting college in a few months, so it's really daunting to think about. I'm glad you've got to find and love something you're really passionate about :D
@@angelakm4286 I think a lot of people think that GD is just making doodles. But, people don't know that Design is everywhere and help us always in our daily life; maybe you can't see it, but it's there. Like, imagine having to go somewhere, and the subway doesn't have any sings. Or reading a book without the right arrangement. And this is just like the 0.0000001%. I really like to think Design in a way of helping people. And I would looove if people just realise the importance of Design in their lifes. I hope that you can do whatever you want! My parents at first thought it was weird, but when they saw all my projects, they were so shocked and happy. I think people are just afraid because they don't understand/know! Do what you love and do what you want! You are young, and have a lot of time to decide, you never know where you'll end up :D
Virginia Traverso Virginia Traverso thank you so much for your encouraging words. I’ve always been fascinated by design and every aspect of it. Whenever I go anywhere, I tend to be attracted towards the signs in the subway, posters, etc., and I get so inspired by those things. There’s also that thought in my head where I’m not good enough, and I’m scared I won’t be a good designer. I hope to do what I want as well. The thought of not doing what you want and regretting it later on in life is terrifying 😅 If you’re comfortable with answering, are you currently free lancing or do you work for a company?
Dang I really needed this haha, I just graduated college with no real plan and I don't know what makes me happy and what I want to do. I've been in school so I kinda just did what was expected of me. It's weird to have all this freedom now. I really like music production and video editing but in a really technical sense? idk who knows where this goes!
The simple thing that is not so simple just comes out of Tablo like that. And I am in love with how you don’t seem like giving lectures but your words speak right through me. Mad respect!
All my life I took those “What will you be when you grow up” tests and it was always Teacher... I refused to become a teacher. I took the Premed routine, I forced it and I realized that it wasn’t for me. I love learning new languages, new culture, and trying new things and I love sharing my experience/ new knowledge with my friends and family therefore I’ve decided to become an English teacher and I’ll travel around Asia... but with the pandemic everything is on hold but it won’t stop me from pursuing MY dream, not my parents’s dream, but my own.
Thank you Tablo, this topic should be talked often. Young adults should realise that the whole world don’t seem get their shit together. It’s all about taking time to discover shit out. Parents should stop pressure instead guide them. This save a lot of time from useless wondering and poor advices
This was very interesting. I never thought of finding my passion through this mechanism. It’s intriguing and makes sense. This was very well put and most definitely made me rethink and actually look back on the things I like. I haven’t been able to find a passion for myself but I think maybe through this way of thinking I just very well could.
I’m so glad this video appeared in my feed. I decided to take a year off before applying to university because I’m unsure of what career I want to do . So I’ll keep this piece of advice with me throughout my break.
This is accurate. Im studying laboratory science in uni and we make tissue blocks used in biopsies. Even as a child, i alwalys like making diy crafts and at times when im in uni breaks i often spend my time building anything im curious about... earlier this morning i was able to mix a few chemicals to make car shampoo and laundry detergent. I simply enjoy the process of making something.
tablo is so wise and insightful. so glad we get to hear him share his wisdom and truth on these podcasts. one of the most intellectual korean entertainers
wow it's amazing that you finding your passion in such a simple way. At the root of everything you like or dislike, there's a reasoning behind it. thx tablo
My issue is having too many passions and not enough time to fulfill them all, I actually lose motivation because i have so many passions if that makes sense? I don't know what to choose and the ideas i do have are really huge ideas like eventually wanting to own a cafe in south korea, making a music video, running a bed and breakfast in a foreign country, and wayyy more little and big things, but they just seem unattainable so i get discouraged before i even start.
I really needed this right now... I have lots of interests but absolutely no idea where my passion lies.. guess I need to find what it is about all those interests that I like 🤔🤯

But even with that background, now I found out myself don't really work on making poster or something that can 'change' people, I found myself useless and dont have enough will to start something in designing ㅠㅠ
Your passion well get you over everything! Make it the reason to overcome every obstacle that is in front of you, and you don’t have to be rich to fulfill what you’re passionate about, there are plenty of examples of poor people who reached the top because of their passion💕 Regarding your depression... This video just yelled at to get my priorities together 😂😭 I want this video tattooed on my forehead
When Tablo gives advice like this is when I admire and respect him the most. So many people need this advice. 👍
Never have i ever heard someone better explain how to find your passion and career path

How do you graduate from college with no plan? I’m not trying to be a dick but I’m a freshman this year, and I’m trying to avoid that dilemma.
Yeah I think I know what you mean but I think you should try many things and then you will find what you really like to do 😊
what's your major?
lol, I'm legit in the same boat. Glad I'm not the only one :) good luck finding your path!

This was such an eye-opening advice 🤯 He really is a wise man 🤩❤
this made me rethink my whole life and it will also probably keep me up at night damn
tablo is so wise and insightful. so glad we get to hear him share his wisdom and truth on these podcasts. one of the most intellectual korean entertainers
Dang, this is really helpful 😳 I really need to listen to Tablo's podcasts. 😔
I think I became obsessed with the perfect sentence too. But mine was the ability to speak in a socially acceptable, assertive and witty way.
I felt that👍👍👍
조언고마워여 저는 이렇게 사람들 이야기 듣는게 재밌네요 맨날 팟캐스트같은 오디오미디어를 많이 듣거든요!
This is really a great advice. Tablo is really good with word gosh
This whole podcast was sO good and I reALLY enjoyed listening to it!
This was very profound.
This just crossed my mind and boom. What a night~
wow it's amazing that you finding your passion in such a simple way. At the root of everything you like or dislike, there's a reasoning behind it. thx tablo
Tablo! You are full of some great insights. Really, thanks for sharing them with us.
tablo spitting facts
You have a real talent for delivering ideas both in rap and podcasts 🙏🏼
Thanks for this podcast!
this is really helpful for me. especially that i am about to go to college and i'm having a hard time cominh to a decision. thanks tablo!!
This was really helpful
This is exactly what I need rn
This is so deep. It hits me hard
Thank you for this
My issue is having too many passions and not enough time to fulfill them all, I actually lose motivation because i have so many passions if that makes sense? I don't know what to choose and the ideas i do have are really huge ideas like eventually wanting to own a cafe in south korea, making a music video, running a bed and breakfast in a foreign country, and wayyy more little and big things, but they just seem unattainable so i get discouraged before i even start.
That 1 sentence makes me rethink my existence....
I really needed this right now... I have lots of interests but absolutely no idea where my passion lies.. guess I need to find what it is about all those interests that I like 🤔🤯
Cool. Never thought of it that way
thanks, 형
I don't even write diaries 😂 but this ep makes me wanna write a movie gosh😍😍💜💜💜
bruh he did a better job than my career counsellor

wow.. that's deep.
아 진짜 좋은 내용이다 epitaph..
tablo should do ted talks. like dude is making me rethink bout my life every time there's a new ttp episode.
Holy fuck this kid is a genius.
Ah yes Shakespeare 🤧 and even his epitaph was a perfect sentence!
I am and still really passionate about writing and movies, even though i havent do that in a while, but im also passionate about my work in healthcare like can i do both?
I want my tombstone to say "Got a problem, come see me" 😂😂✌️ some people won't get that though
the older i get, the more unfamiliar i am with the concept of passion. i guess i just dont really know what entails when it comes to be passionate about something. i like books and spent tons of money on it, but i dont have the interest nor the talent to write one. man, i cant even form a pharagraph without making grammatical errors. i enjoy comedy, but im painfully boring and plain in person and could not really come up with something funny. i love music, but i cant sing let alone play an instrument. i appreciate science so i took a major in one of its brances thinking that it could be my passion, but i was just being foolish. it just made me more bitter and unappreciative of it. and i could not back up either because its just too late now. i keep looking and looking, trying to figure out what im missing but i just couldnt find it. i started to think that being able to discover your passion (and actually get to live it) is a privilege. i do not mean to undermine/devalue people who actually invested a lot of hard work into their passion because i do not. i applaud you guys for that. what i meant is just, perhaps, we need to stop saying that a person is incomplete when they cant figure out theirselves.
yeah..my asian parents are kinda not into the idea of my passion of art, more specifically graphic design and video editing. They really want me to go into the medical field, and it's so daunting to go against what they want because doubt is always in the back of my head. I'm starting college in August, and it's definitely very terrifying. I don't like most of my classes and yeah..I'm just very confused :/
I am a premed. This is my third year applying to medical schools. I literally spent my 20s for this. I hate that I have passion towards this field. This passion is killing me. Ahhhhhhhhh. I feel so behind and lost.
im 22 and im in a job where i dont feel happy but like if i quit im scared that i might not get any jobs cos i still dont know what i want to do and i know 22 is still so young but what scares me if what if in 10 or 20 years im still like this, stuck lost and unmotivated?
Where did yah get that jacket though?
actually I have interest in design and currently studying that major in college. But at a lot of times I feel like I still don't know what to do? After watching this I realize maybe I haven't found out what I like from designing..
When I was young I started to like design because I think design can change people minds with like a poster on the road which is I think really interesting, designer shouldn't have to be politicians(?) to influence people, all they need is an idea to visualize something and make people change their minds onto things.
But even with that background, now I found out myself don't really work on making poster or something that can 'change' people, I found myself useless and dont have enough will to start something in designing ㅠㅠ
When you're kinda early and don't know what to say
I want to do so many things that I don't know which one thing I really wanna do
What if I have a passion but I'm poor
Or have depression
Your passion well get you over everything! Make it the reason to overcome every obstacle that is in front of you, and you don’t have to be rich to fulfill what you’re passionate about, there are plenty of examples of poor people who reached the top because of their passion💕 Regarding your depression... Please, remember that a lot of people like me, who don’t know you personally at all, are standing beside you and believing that you will get over depression🥺❤️
yea, i get it. in the end i just think, i might keep being poor bc of my choice but i still want to do it, thats what passion means to me. and depression, is more about life in general i guess, things might not get better but if you can at least enjoy it, even if just sometimes... I, at least, think that would be enough.
I hope you can find your own answer
I've chosen animation as my career choice for years but suddenly now when I started my majors in computer science and fine arts I keep thinking about art therapy.
At the end of it all ' you get a sentence!
Has this become a music podcast?
I was interested in reading tomb stones with a humorous one liners...
Wow so early.
The Pharrell example dated really well re: LV men creative director
He must have majored in philosophy.
whenever i watch too many movies or criticize the mediocre shows on tv my mom says i should work in cinematography but i feel like it's a different thing to like something and have a career in this sphere plus there's no such job as watching movies..
So, with this logic, my passion is stay home play Playstation all day with not very good gaming skill.
stop impressing me with the way you think, this is very sexy Tablo, I mean the brainy kind.
Fifth
...but I don't have anything I like ☠️ I have no hobby. In my spare time I just spacing out thinking what I should do and ended up with nothing 🙃
Why so Tablo me?
Tablo: talks about musicians that are into fashion.
Also Tablo: does not mention GD...
who's that
