Glad you liked it! With what the last two episodes entail I figured it be best to stick to the others since they had a more adventurous and exciting vibe I was going for. Though Maru beating up the guards would of made for some great scenes in this 😅. I did use one short bit of the second to last episode for my other AMV of Tengoku but it's minor. Still glad you liked it!
@@desertwanderer2412 I do see what you mean, and I think it's great that you went for that vibe, and now I'm gonna be the pretentious comment section expert with the benefit of hindsight, so sorry about that, but idk how much I agree, we're talking about Heavenly Delusion, even in this AMV there are a lot of really dark and serious scenes (that early lady getting sliced, Mimihime getting attacked by the needles, that protester girl killing a hospital guard, Haruki screaming while being eaten, Kiriko getting her arm bitten off) and I think they fit perfectly, and I don't think Maru nearly beating (spoiler) to death would actually have stood out at all (but the rape scene should probably stay out yeah), and like one scene with the kids in the forest could easily fit the adventorous tone, and Maru and Kiriko driving away would be a great ending (before the cya bye bye), although I can definitiely see an issue with fitting it all, I do struggle to find any scenes in the current version that I'd be fine with skipping, they all work extremely well
@@corden826Hey fair enough! I don't see any pretentiousness here, just spirited discussion. Adventurous is definitely the tone I was going for but the footage used like Juichi's blood and gore soaked weapon and the shop lady's death shows that Tengoku is a dark adventure series, it's seinen for a reason. So in hindsight I probably could of used episode 12 footage for more Maru action. I'd swap out the Kiriko winking shot near the end since I wasn't super happy with it even now.
@@desertwanderer2412 glad to hear you didn't take it the wrong way, although I have to say I think the kiriko winking shot is really cute and fun and transitions the mood very well into the final scenes of them just laughing and ending the AMV on a lighter mood (after the 2 darker clips at 2:16 and 2:19, with the 2:16 clip being kinda related to the kiriko wink clip), it's possible that all of that would have to be changed and the mood might end up being dramatically more serious with some scenes from the final episodes instead, and that could of course have worked great but it's a big difference and I think this worked great as well, I actually looked through a bunch of AMVs and I can confidently say that this is the best Heavenly Delusion AMV I could find on youtube, so, well done!
@@corden826 I really do appreciate the indepth analysis! Nice to hear about it through someone else's eyes so I can take that into other projects. I never really thought about it but the wink does sort of act as a pallet cleansing transition into the playful laughing end. I fell in love with Maru and Kiruko's laughter so I knew I wanted to incorporate it into the AMV. If I had added another action set piece instead of Kiriko's wink (RIP to the go kart guys back but I don't count you as a action set piece like the others) the shift to laughter would of been likely been jarring or to sudden. Probably not but the wink does act as a smoother transition. Thank you so much for the praise, it really does mean a lot! I do have to recommend weakwrists AMVs for Heavenly Delusion. They have a hand theme going on with their thumbnails and their Heavenly Delusion AMV makes good use of special ED for episode 8. Their Frieren and JJK AMV are also both very impressive and well worth your time!
Great AMV! It had a really enjoyable and fun energy in contrast to the dark stuff that was actually going on. Especially loved how you went into the chorus at 1:07
